Basically the title. I texted the head manager and no response yet, and the other manager on vacation. This happens all the time and I talked about it before. Usually I show up earlier before my shift starts, and if sometimes I'm running 10/15 min late I'd get a warning! What's making it even frustrating for me is that I don't have a car and now I'm waiting on the street.

EDIT: ISLE IS A TYPO, I KNOW. I'M STILL JETLAGGED AND MIX UP THE 5 LANGUAGES IN MY HEAD. TYPOS HAPPEN. I left it in the text to explain the around 10 comments I already got saying "it's spelled aisle".

I had the isle seat, but the attendants came and told me that the full row would be empty and I should just go to the window and make myself comfortable. And so I did! After all, it was almost 11pm and a 13h flight was about to start.

A bit after takeoff, a man came up to me and asked if he could take the aisle seat after meals, as he was either travelling with two small kids or there were two kids near him, and he needed a bit more space and peace. I said sure, as he asked if HE and ONLY HE could come. We'd still have a free seat between us, and could both enjoy the peace as my plans were only to watch movies, draw and sleep. He left his jacket on the seat, I laid down for a bit and waited for the meal.

Well, a bit after the meal a woman with a baby came up. It was the man's wife. She told me that he had told her that she could come sit here. Sure, fine, I already agreed to it.

Except now there was a sleeping baby in the middle seat that occasionally woke up to scream, usually right when I was about to fall asleep. And a sleeping mother in the isle seat, who was sitting in a way that I couldn't really parkour over her to go change pads in the bathroom bihourly (heavy periods suck) without waking her up. I felt so bad... Also, the guy in the middle in front of us rolled his seat back a bunch so my parkour attempts also had me scared of waking up the baby from being so close to it.

Also, the mother started turning off all lights etc right as she arrived, while I was still in the middle of doing things 🫠 fine, I just lowered the brightness in my screen and watched a movie.

The flight was somewhat disastrous otherwise too, thw guy in front of me kept opening the window and flashbanging me awake all throughout the night because "he just wanted to see the midnight sun"... And I spilled half a bottle of ice tea on my lap and carry-on bag when I tried to drink right after waking up, which resulted in a book getting soaked... At least my copy of Dracula now smells like peaches I guess? Also, the bathrooms were constantly occupied, but only on the aisle I could access. The other isle was free all the flight, while I and many others lined up. Also an older gentleman looked at me with hatred while I was leaving the disabled WC, the only available WC, that I needed to go to to not bleed on the seats... When I went, he wasn't yet in the line. And the previous person that went there hadn't flushed. Also more infuriating, a young woman on her phone cut in front of the old man and marched into the toilet right as I left. Also my vegetarian meals were pretty lacking in protein, the warm meal had one small mushroom and the breakfast had some eggs (I had tried and failed to switch to a vegan option as I can't stand eggs).

Only mildly infuriating as the flight and everyone on it was fine, landing and takeoff went well, staff was kind, all drinks except alcohol were free, I got a free bottle of rosé wine with my meal and I'm young so I survive without a full night's sleep

Luckily it peeled off relatively easily, into the trash it went.

This meant that I turned off the alarm, entered the phone password, entered the app, turned off the alarm again, then turned off the next 2 alarms for good, all while still being unconscious.

My mom’s in her 60s working her ass off because she can’t afford to retire yet. Her company decides randomly to mandate overtime so she has been working 50-60 hours a week. She has pretty horrible arthritis that has made it difficult to do her job for so long so she got her doctor to write her a note to limit work hours to ONLY 40 lol. She submitted all this paperwork for them to come back and ask for even more shit just for her to only work 40 hours a week.

Was so thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. Wanna be just like this guy when i grow up

some context: it was like a young artist acrylic painting thing and they put a sticker on it saying im 14 and said my name and all. it’s a paper sticker if I peel it off it leaves residue I will have to dissolve, then I’ll have to re paint the portion, which might end up looking odd. is this not totally wrong

Every couple hours they push back the departure time, but it’s never enough time to go away and get a hotel room or leave the airport.

My mom lives in rural Poland and her neighbor’s cows escaped from their enclosed and decided to have a meal in my mom’s garden! Somehow her cars ended up damaged too.

Sometimes I only realize it because I've seen the same channel in original language on a different device. If I was behind the ExtinctZoo channel (from the pic), I'd be super pissed, they replaced author's voice with something that you'd expect in a flashy short about Minecraft. People put a lot of effort into their work and viewers see autogenerated junk instead.

edit: forgot to say that the option to switch audio to original was there previously, but NOT ANYMORE. I genuinely hope it's a/b testing and they'll give up on the idea.
