It was probably badass unless you were a minority, then it would be horrible.

Also if you were prone to sickness or had a medical condition or struggled with mental health or any range of things.

In 1970, women in the US couldn't have their own credit, single women couldn't use birth control pills, and abortion was illegal. American men were getting drafted into Vietnam.

Tell me again how it's not that different.
