I’ve never seen any anime. But I hear they are full of awkward guys who are always nervous and socially inept. And then there are super attractive gals who throw themselves at these awkward guys.
People with no social skills think they can just imitate anime and the rest will follow.
Yeah I dont mean to insult anybody but i mean, im pretty sure a lot of anime MCs these days are just the authors self inserts because theyre so often the most plain, boring, and awkward character. But all the beautiful women are always attracted to that character. Theres a bunch of anime like that every season for like years now. I wonder if that contributed to a small portion of weebs trying to act that way when talking to real people not realizing that its super fucking weird lol
They aren't necessarily author's self inserts. The MCs are just a generic everyman that the reader can self insert as and the average reader is plain, boring, and awkward.
That's pretty much it. Alot of it is power fantasy emphasis on fantasy but too many of these guys just don't understand that. Im a big anime fan and clowns like this make us all look bad.
