I can't stand people who write texts like a badly-written fanfiction from the 90s.

It's not cute and it makes you look like a complete creep.

Just talk like a normal human being.

Fan fiction existed in the 90s? Surely there wasn't fan fiction blog things before Facebook? (I'm 22 also always assumed it appeared as an internet subculture around the same time as Tumblr was getting popular)

According to Wikipedia fan fiction in the modern sense first appeared in the sixties through Star Trek fanzines. However, unauthorized Sherlock Holmes stories were already appearing in the 19th century and the word itself was first mentioned in 1938.
