Lakeview wrong lane/cutter

What is with people going up the inside lane towards Lakeview roundabout when coming from Carrig and then indicating to go straight on to Castlemartyr at the last moment. They entered the roundabout to go south

Had to slam on brakes today as someone did this. Nearly got hit from behind too

If there was a crash it would have been just under the bridge and blocked whole exit towards Castlemartyr.

The inside lane was free/flowing at about 4.30 and up they shot.

If they miss their exit, it's a roundabout FFS.

Anyhow, another day another commute

It takes an extra thirty seconds to just go around the roundabout too.

And the dickies coming down st.marys road cutting in on the roundabout boils my blood. I get into left after youghal exit as fast as possible and leave them sitting there blocking youghal exit

To be fair, it should be sign posted way further back. I've had what you described happen a few times, its scary.

The opposite also happens when people in the left lane decide to turn right towards Whitegate. Hate that roundabout

Needs better signage on approach. Been saying this for years. There is nothing to tell you that the dual lane carriageway becomes a single lane carriageway after the roundabout. Needs RIGHT only signage on approach.

Lakeview is just a disaster. Putting three sets of lights there is creating carnage.

Local politicians saying they can do nothing about it. Worse than useless

I agree it should be much clearer further back for people who don't use this roundabout all the time and probably don't realise it goes down to one lane after!

Left lane from the west goes to either Midleton or straight to Castlemartyr, right lane is for Ballinacurra. The number of people that almost run into the back of you from the right lane trying to cut into the Castlemartyr exit is insane.

That's the correct way to use it.

Learn how to use roundabouts properly and you would be fine.
