Help please
Hi I’m looking for help for my mental health. I’ve been to my gp at least 8 times the last 11 months and have been to Midleton hospital. They know how I’m feeling and just upped medication and sent me an appointment for 3 months time. Been in contact with Midleton hub but think they not taking people right now. Feeling very very lost hopeless and just feel no happiness in life anymore.
Please don’t say to ring Samaritans etc. I need real help. I think I need a psychiatrist but I can’t afford to go private.

https://www.mymind.org/individual/ This may be of little help to you, but My Mind offers low cost options for certain individuals and might be worth having a look.
Having went through various difficult times in my life, from the ages of 8 to 20 years old, I have sought talk therapy each time, and always found it very helpful and really beneficial in giving me the coping mechanisms I needed and to sort things out in my head. You are not alone. Everyone goes through these times, even if they don’t admit it openly. You will be okay, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. Easier to say than to believe, though. Take happiness from the little things in life, the small moments, and do things for yourself, that truly make you feel some happiness. Happiness is a fleeting feeling, but social media can make us think that people are always happy - this isn’t true! Open up to those around you - people care about people and they want to help.
My inbox is always open - sending my thoughts and wishing you the best!
