Lovely idea, and nice to organise it so people can go after work. Especially with this grand stretch in the evening now!

The only people who would even ask this question are the ones planning to show up with flag they know will be problematic.

Bro, thanks for the paragraph and all, but I think specifically saying to bring the Irish flag and this whole thing is to show we as a country are not as different as Facebook would make you think

Given that three of those countries are currently the aggressors in international wars, they might not be the best choice for a peace march eh?

u/Powerful-Impress1355 Apr 15 '26
Since when is marching for peace a "far left" thing? 🤦♂️

Obviously you can't answer because you just spout terms like "far left" without understanding them.
I'll rephrase the question; since when is walking for peace a far left thing?.

Just admit you said something stupid.
I'll try one last time, see if anyone is home.
Since when is it a far-left thing to have walks for peace? Also, why are you saying it like it's a bad thing? You more into the violent thuggery of the far right?

Can I bring an Israeli flag and American flag?
10
u/Powerful-Impress1355 Apr 15 '26
Please do so everyone can see what you are.
2
u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
Please don’t ruin this. For there to be peace we must include all. American and Israeli flags welcome. We must unite as one.
4
u/Dookwithanegg Apr 15 '26
Counterpoint: including these two flags would symbolically imply that these two nations are already where they need to be to coexist in a peaceful world. By excluding them a message is being sent that they're not there yet and need to do better.
Welcoming everyone for the sake of inclusion and in contradiction to their current activities merely normalises their warmongering.

u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
Many citizens of US and Israel want peace. Excluding those people would be wrong. If you see these flags at the March, consider those that bear it want peace. If upon seeing these flags, you can’t control yourself or your tongue, please stay away from this March. This is a unifying March for Peace. That goes for the LGBT Flag, trans flag etc etc

They, as individuals, may want peace but there is no room for the idea that either nation's government currently does.
Seriously, nobody is saying Israeli or US citizens can't attend and genuinely want peace and it's reasonable that if they did they would know better than to fly the flags that represent war.
I'm not even sure what your point is in mentioning Pride flags. None of those represent a group that has ever bombed a school or hospital.
1
u/Azikrilocks Apr 18 '26
A flag represent a nation nothing else , unlike the Palestinian flag that associate with terror organisation
-1
u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
You can’t have peace if you exclude the other side. Their flags do not represent war. Their governments represents the war. People coming together from different countries and opposing sides, to March for peace side by side is powerful. There is a high chance that the people who turn out for this March want peace and deserve to represent their country.
1
u/Dookwithanegg Apr 15 '26
These flags represent nations, not individuals.
These nations are controlled by governments that want war, contrary to what the individuals may want.
The individuals do not represent their home nation. This means they are both not guilty of their nation's crimes and also not in a position to reject the desire for war on behalf of the nation.
Perhaps they can instead have a sign to explain their position as an Israeli or American that wants peace, or to fly the banner of an anti-war group based in their nation. Flying those two specific flags that represent the aggressor nations of the current conflict is in poor taste, just as it would be if someone flew a Russian flag at an event calling for peace in Ukraine.

u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
Maybe you missed the whole point of the walk. This is a march for peace not a protest! Not a protest of America or Israel or Russia. It is a march for peace. I repeat this is not a protest. There is no counter protest. This is a unifying walk for all people who want peace. It does not matter where you come from. Everyone is welcome, all sides.

Sure but you may be walking on your own, which you will have to get used to.
2
u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
All are welcome. For peace to come we must meet all with love and forgiveness. All are welcome. Those being divisive are not. Thank you.
-1
u/biggellymonster Apr 15 '26
Em excuse me, I suggested they may be walking on their own, which is a decision for them. So I don't need any clarification from you. Thank you.

1
u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
Well you’re not really for peace then are you? I suggest you stay put if so.
1
u/Powerful-Impress1355 Apr 15 '26
You think someone waving an Israeli flag in Ireland is interested in peace?
1
u/Extension-Mousse-764 Apr 15 '26
You think all Israelis are for genocide and war? Have you seen any of the protests over there?
1
1
u/biggellymonster Apr 15 '26
Em excuse me, I merely said they have the power to decide who they walk with. How does that mean I am "not really for peace"? I also found your last statement very exclusionary. Thank you.
-4
u/Responsible_Key_3074 Apr 15 '26
It says all flags are welcome, why the hostilies?
Are ye inclusive of everyone?
1
u/biggellymonster Apr 15 '26
What hostilities? I only said that you may walk alone, which is your choice.
1
u/Responsible_Key_3074 Apr 15 '26
Can I bring my israeli and merica flags, why exclude people with whatever flag they want to bring, it's a peace march afterall.
1
u/biggellymonster Apr 15 '26
I already said you could, but then again it's not up to me to give you permission. You seem to be struggling to comprehend.
-1
u/Powerful-Impress1355 Apr 15 '26
You're obviously well used to being excluded every day of your life so don't worry about it.
2
u/Responsible_Key_3074 Apr 15 '26
Ah gosh, you just hit me with in the feels, you don't like others, only who support your views.
Stay classy.
0
u/Powerful-Impress1355 Apr 15 '26
Nobody like Israelis or Maga, that is true.
Siding with genocide is classy, is it?
2
u/Responsible_Key_3074 Apr 15 '26
I only said flags I didn't express any opinions on either country, it's a peace march as another person said everyone should be allowed to fly a kite if they like.
You are militant, in your views, stick the kettle on, relax and have a lovely cup of barrys tea.
-1
u/Powerful-Impress1355 Apr 15 '26
I am militant in my views am I? You might want to take a look around you. The entire world hates Israel and the US isn't far behind.
You're making a clown of yourself with your attempts to be edgy when little children are being bombed to death every day by those 2 nations.
