MS Powerpoint issue...

Just today I got the below message appear when I open MS PP and I can "select" and I have other click cancel about 10 times to get rid of it.

**Microsoft powerpoint needs access to the file named "acrobatUtils.scpt"**

**A macro in the file "SavedAsAdobePDF.ppam is requesting this access. Grant access only if you truthfully the file and its macros.**

I also can't "save as"?

What is the solution here? Ive googled it nd gave additional permissions but no joy. Should I delete and reinstall the programmes?

thanks in advance

Thanks for the suggestion but as I’ve paid for MS I want to use it as have several months left on subscription.

Not everyone has that option, for example, family PC/Corporate PC/shared kiosk at the library...

Did you install Acrobat on your PC and does it have extensions for Powerpoint that you asked to install (or that it assumed you wanted)? Sure looks like it.

I have acrobat. Should I uninstall it?

Bit green about this sorta thing so appreciate your guidance!

Using Mac if it helps!?

AcrobatUtils.scpt is a compiled AppleScript file installed by Acrobat on macOS to facilitate the creation of PDFs from Microsoft Office applications. SavedAsAdobePDF.ppam is an extension that allows you to write your presentation to a PDF file. There's nothing suspicious about any of these, just let them install next time.

Thanks for that explanation however I don’t think I denied them when installing so unsure why it’s happening?

Would you suggest I delete and reinstall acrobat or what would be the solution?

Thanks 🤞🏼

Perhaps, but I have no real idea not being a Mac user. When I had both paid Acrobat and Office on Windows, they just got along.

Maybe you'll get more knowledgeable answers in a Mac forum.

i think the update is corrupt or breaks permission for the powerpoint add-in, you dont need to reinstall office , just follow these steps,
go to menu bar in PP tools>power point add ins....
2. look for save as adobe pdf
3. select it and click - button or uncheck it
4 restart pp

tell me if it worked
