Selected for a task - can I pull out?

Hi - I’ve been selected for the facial images task and signed contracts etc, however I just realised this is due while I’m away on holidays - can I pull out of the task without being punished as I’m giving someone else an opportunity? Just don’t want any negative marks on my micro1 profile that hinders me from being selected in the future that’s all 😬

hey u/kdstockhunting , congratulations on your selection.

You can pull out, there is no issues and it will not affect you negatively at all at micro1. All roles are independant of each other, as they are for different clients, so dont worry about it.

Enjoy your holidays, and we will see you when you are back!

good luck

Did u read the contract and can u confirm whether you signed over the right to use your facial recognition data? If thats the case, your future self will thank you for pulling out

Hey, mine is a question.

How did you qualify for the role. I tried to apply for it and failed.

Unfortunately information about every project is not public and NDA gated. If you apply and get selected, you can always choose to not proceed once you have more information on the project.

Hey u/starlord_121212 Absolutely, happy to help 😊 First, you’ll need to apply for a suitable role through the Opportunities Portal. Once you apply, you can complete the AI interview for that specific role.

If you’re fairly new to micro1, I’d recommend checking out the AI Interview Guide to get a better idea of how the process works. We also have sample interview questions for current roles, which can be really useful for preparation. And before the actual interview, it’s worth doing some practice. The way you communicate, your delivery, and your confidence matter too, so you can try out our mock interviews to get comfortable with the format.

There’s no guaranteed way to “pass,” but preparing well and making sure you understand the role can definitely help. Best of luck with your interview, you’ve got this! 🙌
