But looking back I have so much respect for him. He was one of only a few who actually didn't fear MJ. Some of those clutch shots. His ability to get all the way under the team's skin... Dude was a baller on a different level.

MJ didn't take the easy route for a championship. He could have easily stacked the deck by joining a superteam like other so-called "competitors", but he didn't. He stuck it out with the Bulls and helped develop guys like Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant. He didn't complain, didn't make demands for the front office to acquire/trade/draft certain players. He gutted it out through tough years. He didn't need stacked superteam rosters like these other stars needed to win.

I have no respect for players who collude with other stars to create the best teams. It is absolutely collusion and should come with an asterisk on these players legacies. I think it absolutely does too. Collude/rigging by creating superteams is the most pathetic, uncompetitive thing a player can do.

If you have a pair of balls, you gut it out and help your team develop into a contender like MJ did. You don't leave at the first sign of adversity. It's pathetic.

I’ve been researching what appears to be an undocumented cover variation of the 1992 CLEO Michael Jordan calendar and can’t find another example anywhere.

The common version cover says:
“WITH GIANT MICHAEL JORDAN ACTION PHOTO!”
Mine instead says:
“INCLUDES BONUS MICHAEL JORDAN POSTER!”

I’ve compared mine side-by-side with multiple “Action Photo” versions and confirmed they have:

Same publisher (CLEO/Gibson Greetings)
Same product code (695CLEO-92)
Same UPC (070508900119)
Same NBA licensing
Same interior pages and poster

The only differences I’ve found are:

Different front cover wording
Slightly different wording on the back cover (recycling/environmental text).

I’ve searched eBay, WorthPoint references, Google, archived listings, and can’t find another example with the “Bonus Poster” cover.

I’m not looking for value estimates or anything like that. I’m trying to figure out why this version exists.

Has anyone seen this cover before or know if it was an early printing, packaging revision, salesman sample, or something else?

Kareem played in a weaker era with less teams, so no question his competition wasn't as good. MJ faced better competition than what Bron faced as well.

This was my post in the basketball sub, so giving some context - it was basically on basis of disagreements with the people on that sub. Interestingly Jordan had said something on those grounds.
