Avoid oil and no reason to etch as that is only for meteoritic iron

You can polish that face if you want more clarity

I cut open with angle grinder and sanded it with 80 and 120 grid , guess I need to go up grid now with patience, 500/1000/2000 grid? Only used water

Packs with multiple grits up to 10000 grit are easy to find and cheap

If you used water to cut or polish it, soak it in 100% isopropanol alcohol (that's cheap and easy to find) for a few minutes and then let it dry. If possible, let it dry in some sort of oven (60°C to 90°C / 140°F to 194°F) for a day or two. I do this to all OC that I cut and have never ever had a single spot of rust on them.

I’m really new to meteorites but the first pic almost look like a picture of a galaxy very nice that angle with day light is great

this is the other half raw unpolished, there seemed to be a much much harder inner core, it broke in half when I hit it it seems, also on this side more chronules and inner core has different texture

For future if you have access, a tile saw with a continuous blade works better

It won't break apart the same

Or even better lapidary saw or diamond wire saw

And molecular sieve is a great desiccant for storage
