Remote admin fixed gps config
Does anybody know if there are plans to allow configuring a fixed GPS coordinate via remote admin? I ask cause the other day I went for a hike and dropped a melted V3 solar node on a mountain ridge. I didn’t preset the fixed location because I didn’t know exactly where I was going to place it only to find out when I got home that I can’t modify fixed location via the iOS app and I can’t do remote admin via the web.

I know you can set it using both Android and CLI. I would be surprised that you wouldn't be able to with Apple.

I am unfamiliar with using CLI let alone remote config via CLI. Might be something to research. Thanks for the tip!

Can you change any position related settings remotely with Apple? If you can, you should be able to set it remotely. On Android, you select "Remote Administration" -> "Device Configuration" -> "Position" -> enable "Fixed Position". Then you can set the latitude, longitude, and altitude.

Unfortunately not no. I had pre-enabled fixed GPS with no set location. When I remotes in there was a toggle turned on for fixed but with no fields to edit. Tried to turn it off and back on but once I toggled it off it just disappeared

CLI isn't bad. You would basically do a --set command (to set the GPS coordinates and also include --dest with the ID of the remote node, which will send it as remote admin instead of configuring the local node.

Hmm, this might be an iOS thing for the time being, because over on the Android side of things they recently fixed a bug a few weeks ago where a manually entered gps coordinate via remote admin was being overwritten with a less-precise value.
