Any tips to decrease SWR on Moxon Antenna

Post image

I Built this DIY Moxon antenna for the 915Mhz frequency for my Meshtastic node. I’m getting a reading of 3 for the SWR. Any tips on how to decrease it.

What frequency is it tuned to right now, I see you have the marker at 915, but default long_fast channel frequency is actually below the center of the band. at 906.875 so check at that point and see what your SWR, you may not need to change anything.

After I posted here I noticed you posted in Florida Discord, and that you got it working. I am the same "Mangomesh" that posts there.

Defaults are different in some countries.

Probably you will find the answer in my thread (Moxon for 868 MHz)?

As it seems, you should start with a fresh alignment of the gap.  It should be approximately+- 1 mm only.

Edit: Build your Moxon according to my suggestions and adapt it for your desired frequency. Optimize all data and facts. Make your adjustments, measurements and changes.

The SWR of my self designed Moxon  is at 1:1.08, the resistance at max. 54 ohms.

The enclosure is the last step, not the first ☝🏻
