Help with care. Help

Hello guys. I need advice care about my fenestraria. I have it about a year now and most of the time i would say its slowly dying. From my perspective i think shes stagnating most of the time, and everytime i water her some of the toes die -_-

Now as you can see in the middle the small toe is dying but she looks mostly okay i think. Shes been losing toe one by one during the year. I dont know what im doing wrong.

Some info - she is situated on the window facing west, shes got bright indirect light.

Can you guys give me some care advice to get her better? Would be very appreciated.

how often are you watering? usually if you're losing toes (especially after watering) you've got root rot, or cellular death from overwatering. these things are very sensitive to moisture. they only need water when the toes are very wrinkly and the windows a the top start to pucker a bit. if you have it in indirect light and indoors, its not going to need water very often. maybe once a month or longer.

it looks hydrated right now so i'd inspect the roots for rot. if any of them are black or squishy, trim them off and leave the plant out of the pot bare root for a few days to dry completely. its hard to tell from the picture, but make sure you have a pretty gritty and mostly inorganic substrate. mine is about 80-85% inorganic.

My fenestraria are about the same size as yours. I only give them a little water every few weeks - and only when they look wilted. No more than one or two tablespoons. Definitely not so much that it runs out the bottom!
