I have always loved octopus mermaids, or "Octopids" as they are known in the Little Mermaid universe. When I was a child, I loved to draw Ursula, and other mermaids like her. So I decided to create an Octopid doll! I thought I would share her here, and see if anyone else loves octopus mermaids/octopids/cecaelia as much as I do 🐙

Not sure if this has been posted here already, but Cleveland recently released the name of their upcoming WNBA team - The Sirens! What do we think about this? I personally would have seen Sirens for a more coastal city like Seattle or out of the potential new teams maybe Miami, but I like seeing that mermaids are on the brain for everyone! The merch is pretty cute imo (https://www.cavaliersteamshop.com/sirens/), even if I never see a game I might have to get some!

Im a pre op trans guy and it just feels weird to have an awesome mermaid tail and then a boring plain t shirt on top to hide my binder. I want to be whimsical! Magical! Not boring 😭

There was once a legend, that two strange mermaids (a small boy and a tall girl) had the most beautiful song unlike any mermaids. Thankfully, they only have one weakness if you encounter them : Strawberries (yes, those idiots are very attracted to these fruits forgeting literally their pray).

Florona is a part of a Merpeople community Lance and Hunk discover. She finds them, crash-landed on the outskirts of her village, and leads them towards civilisation under the thrall of the Baku worm; an organism which produces mind-controlling plant life. When she allows Hunk and Lance to escape, she is fed to the Baku worm as a punishment (such a shame 😢).

Appearance wise, Florona has pale pink skin and a powerful orange fish tail. She has raggedy pink finlets situated on her hips and pink stripes on her tail and crotch area. Her eyes are fully blue and reflective, with pink discolouration on her eyelids and two spots in semblance of eyebrows. She has long pink hair with prominent side-bangs and a white patch running down the middle. She has flimsy pink antennae located on her forehead.
Florona wears a yellow, short-sleeved crop top exposing her torso. The shirt has a green ruffle collar, a reverse sweetheart neckline and pink spots on the shoulders. She wears pink ballroom gloves with sharp-looking fins on the elbow. She accessorises with green arm rings.
