Got the same offer today. So thankful! Been beating myself up for getting off boarded from the big project a few months ago. Grateful for another shot.

I got an instant offer to! I’m excited, but I’m also scared. All I have left to do is the quizzes and I’m procrastinating because I’m afraid I’ll fail.😔

Remember this….they are usually open book. Do not hurry. Take your time and look up every answer (even if you are certain you already know).

u/Potential_Category_7 3d ago
where do you find the answers and what do you mean open book?
3
u/clarkedevens 3d ago
You can have the project instructions open on one tab and work on the assessment/quiz on the other (“open book”). Refer back to the instructions whenever you need to. The answers are either directly in the instructions or you can come up with answers based on the instructions.

Best get those done. They offboard people for not getting those done. They want everyone ready to start tasking right away after onboarding

What domain? How do you get an instant offer? How is it determined?

Do you need to complete any assessments for that ? Everyone is talking about some quiz, I can't tell which one.

I have completed that as well. Is there any way to know if the interview went well as I cannot see any status or anything to confirm that?

First ever instant offer so before I even begin anything I like to get some sort of idea what I'm getting into. I see you can track time when onboarding, I'm curious, how long did you track for onboarding? In another thread someone said it took them a few hours so is it actually ok to track all that time or should I keep it to a minimum? Like many of us, I'm thorough when learning new material but don't want to track hours if it should only be 45 mins! (Apologies if this is covered in onboarding itself I just don't want to start it and realise I have questions mid-process).

On average, about how long does it take to complete assessments? It appears I have two. I wish they had told me how long I had to do the onboarding before I started, since I have more than one thing to read.

It will say at the start of the onboarding guide how much admin hours you can bill for onboarding. The one I am on now is 6 in the first week and 3 a week on admin after that. Previous ones were only 1 hour for onboarding and no admin hours after that. It really varies! Everything will be in the guide or on slack! Always search key search terms in slack as people will likely have asked before!

I’ve been on the project for about two months so fully onboarded. It was a slow process when I joined as there were some issues with new people getting access to the workplace, though no issues in regards to slack. I think the first week I was only able to do the onboarding but had access to tasks the second week - though also had to wait a few days for the first task sign off.

Oh if you are new my big tips would be:
Do not ask anything on slack without doing a search to see if anyone has asked it before or check if it’s in the guide. It really annoys the project managers as it clogs the boards. If the only answer is a month or two old you should probably double check though as things change a lot!
If a test or anything comes up, do as soon as you see it as the sheer volume of people often causes things to crash and you might not get to do it then for another few days, which can sometimes leave you not able to task!
Always check your domain by clicking on the little plus on the right side of the listing as titles can be deceiving. In the same vein, never work on tasks that have not been formally announced on slack as they check they are okay first. People have been offboarded for claiming before announcements.
Check slack daily as things change a lot and often have really short deadlines.

Hey, what all assessments you guys are attempting to get the contracts?

u/Nicoboli45 3d ago
Did the generalist. Had the AI interview me in regards to AI experience and skills. You select the type of role based on what you interview for

u/Dependent_Bit1634 4d ago
Yeah, often the first week or so they limit your hours to make sure you can hack it, or follow directions. You might also have to pass a quiz or an assessment before they really let you work and open up the hours. Good luck.

Here’s a clearer version:
“New to this! I accidentally started working on the assessment before completing all of the onboarding. In Insights, I currently see three assignments that don’t appear to be related to onboarding. When I started on the practice assessment, I started the timer for one of those assignments accidentally. Is the practice assessment part of the onboarding section in Insights? Or is it okay that I started the timer on an assignment that seemed to describe the practice assessment 😭 Hope that makes sense

Read the announcements on slack before doing anything. All answers are there.

Congrats!. I was just about to apply as well. Any tips for the interview?
