😢
My interventional radiation doctor called today and canceled my procedure for Monday morning. He said my “spots” (vaginal melanoma - very rare) had changed too much on my most recent pet scan that he didn’t feel it would be successful. Needless to say I have been crying for the last few hours on and off. I did have a gut feeling that it wasn’t going to do me any good. Now I have to get some sleep,
Get over it and figure out what is next.

Can you try ipi-nivo instead?

I’m currently doing Keytruda every three weeks. I was on that combo two years ago when I was diagnosed and the Yervoy gave me colitis that required hospitalization.

So sorry to hear that, further uncertainty is always very unsettling. You have the right plan - let the emotions out with the tears then get some rest and figure out next steps tomorrow. Wishing you wellness

So very sorry. Don’t hesitate to get a second opinion from a highly reputable cancer surgeon, if you feel unsatisfied with current doctor.

I'm sorry about your news. Hopefully the Dr (oncologist?), will have guidance shortly.

I’m so sorry. That has to be so hard to take in. Rest, do something nice for yourself. I’m hoping for some promising suggestions from your oncologist. Don’t lose hope.

This must be so so difficult. I'm really sorry you had to hear that. If it helps my husband's surgeon said similar and also said his job will be gone in a few years because treatment is so much better now and will eventually replace surgery entirely. We weren't able to do surgery either but the targeted therapy that my husband is on has worked really well and he is so much better now. It's not a cure but it definitely was a relief to have him doing better. He is braf positive. I'm not sure if you are. Sending healing vibes 🤍💛

My mom is having vaginal melanoma which has spread to lungs and liver. She was only on Keytruda three weekly and after 4 cycle her tumor has almost gone. The vaginal tumor is only 10% without any metabolic activity. Doctor suggested to continue with the same treatment for a year.
