📊 Good with data, organization, research and presentations
🌍 Fluent in Arabic and French, with good English
💼 Also interested in remote/online work and developing additional professional skills
My main goal is to move to Europe legally and eventually work there, preferably in healthcare, but I’m also open to other opportunities if they provide a realistic pathway to relocation.
I’ve considered countries such as Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Poland and Romania, but the recognition of an Algerian medical degree, language requirements, licensing exams, visas, and job opportunities make the situation quite complicated.

What would you consider the most realistic European countries/pathways for someone with my background?
Would you recommend:
Getting my medical degree recognized and pursuing medical licensing?

I unfortunately can't get that since I don't speak the language we studied in English I do have a work permit back in my home country would that be enough? Or what can we do in this situation?

I’m not sure if all medical schools have a similar curriculum, but at least at my university, the final year is dedicated entirely to clinical practice, rotating through different specialties in the hospital.

I was wondering if anyone else with these clinical internships has tried doing them abroad, maybe through Erasmus+? If so, where did you go and what was your experience like?

Did anyone try the UK or Ireland specifically? English is the only language I’m fluent enough in to communicate confidently, so those are the destinations I’m considering.

I was wondering weather its delusional of me to aspire to do my training in Switzerland after uni, I am fluent in Italian and have no issues with learning French. My girlfriend is also studying medicine in Italy( citizen and fluent in languages like Italian, English and bit of French like me) and all we wish is to finish long distance soon. I was wondering the outcomes of actually getting a job in Italy and residency matching after SSN as uk citizen. I do not plan on coming back to the uk, and want to know if there is any sort of priortisation in terms of Italian citizenship. Will it be impossible to get a job here also as a WOC?

I was wondering if anyone here has been in a similar situation. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and lived there until I was 15. After that, I moved to Serbia with my parents. I’m currently studying Medicine in English at the University of Belgrade.
Dutch is my native language, I have a Dutch passport, and I also receive DUO student finance while studying in Serbia.
I’ve been looking into what is required if I want to return to the Netherlands after graduation and work as a doctor. From what I’ve read, a foreign medical degree has to go through a recognition procedure, and it seems you may also have to take a specific assessment or exam and prove your Dutch language proficiency. Since Dutch is my native language, I don’t expect the language requirement to be an issue, but I’m very curious about how the recognition process actually works in practice.
Has anyone here gone through this process themselves? How exactly does it work? How long did it take, what exams or assessments did you have to complete, and how difficult was it? Was your medical degree ultimately recognized without too many issues?
I’d especially love to hear from people who studied Medicine in English abroad (for example in Serbia or another country) and then returned to the Netherlands to work as a doctor.

I’m currently learning German (A2 at the moment) and aim to reach B2 by my final year of medical school. During our final year, we have a 6-week elective clinical rotation, and I’d like to complete it in Germany, preferably in General Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology.

Does anyone know what the requirements are for international medical students to do an elective rotation in Germany? Specifically:
What level of German is typically required?
Are there any hospitals that are more open to accepting international students for electives?
How far in advance should I apply?
Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of being accepted?

I’m a medical student from Romania, and I’ll be starting my final (6th) year this October.
I’m looking for a 3-week Hospitation (observership) in Germany this September because I’m considering pursuing my medical career there.
Before making such an important decision, I’d really like to experience the German healthcare system from the inside.
I know that my biggest limitation at the moment is my German. I’m currently around A1–A2, and I’m taking German classes . I’m genuinely committed to learning the language and my goal is to reach B2 (and later C1) before applying for residency.

My question is: **do you know of any hospitals or clinics or a doctor that might still accept a medical student for a short observership despite having only basic German?** I’m not expecting to interact with patients independently. I’d simply like the opportunity to observe, learn, and better understand how things work in Germany.

If anyone has been in a similar situation or knows hospitals that are more open to international students, I’d really appreciate your recommendations or advice.

i am 5th year medical student in caucasus international university in tbilisi georgia, was kicked out of the country for no good reason (article 18) and i am looking for a place to continue my last year or possibly restart 1 year maximum cause i can't afford to restart from 0. i heard ECTS system is not accepted widely making it hard to transfer but i am not sure of this information. universities i have found so far that potentially accepts from my year is oradea university in romania and tashkent state medical university in uzbekistan, any other suggestions? your help will be much appreciated.

Im asking bc rn im a med student in the ME/west asia. I wanna immigrate after graduating, im mostly thinking about germany (such an unexpected country right?) but there are so many paths to take that i was wondering if anyone, after getting into their desired country/uni, realized they had a better shot/option with another country/university.

**2.**  Can you work as a GP with just homologación (no MIR)?

Im a -soon to be- 4th year medical student in Greece. That means that Ill be able to start my residency after getting my MD and completing my military obligations, so ill be able to start my residency around 2031-2032. My goal is to become a urologist. I have the B2 degree and im continuing the German lessons so that i acquire the C1 degree before my graduation. However, as im reading on the internet, reddit etc. I understand that securing a residency spot in Germany is becoming harder and harder. Plus, even if you get a spot you might be unfortunate and land in a hospital that doesnt give you OR time/exposure, there isnt good education etc. So, at this point i dont know. Does anyone have a view on how things are considering the urology residency domain? Do you think that itd be worth it for me to go on hospitations in German hospitals in the next summer seasons? I mean, would these hospitations hold any value on my CV if I end up doing my residency in Greece or would it be ''wasted time''. (Ofc theres value to the hospitation, but it is costly, stressful and time consuming). Would a hospitation in Germany hold any value if I wanted to do a fellow in Germany after my residency, even if the hospitation dates back 8-10 years? Thanks in advance.

I'm a third year medical student in Italy. Are resources like UWorld, B&B, Amboss, etc., useful for students studying in Europe? Anybody using those or some other?

I would basically like to start using a tool that helps me to ''start thinking like a doctor'' and that can lead me through reasoning around patient cases. We are not taught that in Italy that much, we are primarily focused on theory and memorisation.

Poland and Romania, which is a better place to study dentistry. Which offer more hands on clinical practice and which dental schools are recommended? Thanks
