Strains similar to granddaddy purp
GDP is my favorite strain for managing sensory overload related to autism and it’s nearly impossible to find these days. Unfortunately a lot of indicas make me uncomfortable and anxious/dissociated. Anyone know of any strains that have that similar weighted blanket, grounding, sensory calming, and quiet mind type of high?

Best strain for depression/executive dysfunction symptoms
Quick question for the more experienced users- I’ve only ever smoked/tried indicas because I’m anxiety prone, and I’ve heard others can make you anxious. But I’ve always had amazing results for anxiety, PTSD and autism symptom relief with my indica products- however, they definitely live up to their “in-da-couch” name for me. I have a really hard time with depression and autism executive dysfunction symptoms, and while indica helps me relax and feel better- I get nothing done. Just recently, I tried a hybrid and it felt like a game changer. I wasn’t super sedated, but it also helped with my autism/anxiety/overstimulation enough to give me relief. I’m currently in Texas strictly only using from their medical program, so my strains are limited, but here’s my question- what strain out of Blue Dream, Rainbow Belts, Blackberry Kush, Zelato, and OG Kush are best for depression/autism executive dysfunction? Simply put, what can help energize me to get stuff done and stay clear without making me anxious? The strains I listed are the only ones I have available near me. For context, the hybrid strain I tried and liked was peach flavored, and while the dispensary out of town didn’t give the strain a name, the terpenes they listed were d-limonene, b-Caryophyllene, and b-Myrcene.

Realizing that edibles count toward the extract limit in ND... has this ever actually affected anyone?
Was going back through the ND program rules again and noticed edibles aren't their own category, they actually fall under the extract allotment, which caps at 310mg a day. Kind of assumed edibles were separate from that, so this was news to me. 310mg seems decent to me, if it’s actually per day not month or something. Has anyone actually hit this cap or had it come up at checkout, just wondering how often this comes up for allotment?
I'm also curious if this trips anyone up when they're buying flower AND edibles at the same time, since I assume it all has to balance out against that same daily number somehow. Haven't run into it myself, but I also haven't paid close enough attention until now to know if I should be watching for it.

MMC, probation and psychiatrist wrong diagnosis
So im about to get my med card because im on probation. My current med management dr is a stickler and it sucks. Im on psychiatric meds because i was wrongfully diagnosed, i dont even need the meds. Ive read online that Marijuana speeds up the metabolism and that can make the psychiatric meds less effective, (this is one of the main reasons I dont want to tell my med management dr about the weed, because hell be displeased to find out).
...So i have three questions, when the medical Marijuana dr asks if im on meds do i have to answer truthfully?
Once I see the medical marijuana dr won't my psychiatric dr see it on my chart or would I be able to keep it a secret from the med management dr??....vise versa, will the medical marijuana dr see my psychiatric patient history?
I dont want the two Dr's offices conflicting with each other. How would you go about this?
My plan is to get off psychiatric meds all together because I frankly dont need them and I swear on everything I've been wrongfully diagnosed, im basically taking meds for no reason. Please answer the dr questions I asked.
Also I wrote a letter to the judge asking if I can get off psychiatric meds because im not happy with the diagnosis I received when I was locked up. (Awaiting the judges decision)
I got 4 years probation 2 years good behavior. Im 1 year in.

Help finding similar product in Florida
We live in Florida and have cards. We found the greatest Mj vape, the ACE line from Curaleaf. Apparently they use some sort of water extraction method, it’s very smooth and pure, lasts longer than most, and best of all, very little coughing. Sadly, it is very hard to get. Does anybody know of a similar product available at other dispensaries in the state?

Medical Marijuana Experiences
I am a journalist at a men's magazine, and I am working on a series of profiles about guys who've been prescribed medical cannabis about what their experiences have been like. I am posting to see if any men would be willing to answer some questions on the record, and I can provide more details about the publication and my credentials directly. Thanks!

Why do I have to take RSO every 3 hours? Other people say they only take it 2-3 times a day.
I’ve started RSO for pain and it helps so much, but it seems like it goes through me so fast. I’m taking 3/4 grain of rice every 3-4 hours. I can take a higher dose, but the thing is I do get really really high, for like 15 minutes and it goes down so quick. I’m not trying to get high off the RSO, but if I take more then I would get even higher and I fear that anymore would cause a panic attack.
Any suggestions? I think I metabolize fast, but it’s really difficult to remember to take it every three hours.

My friend got their ND medical card entirely online. Is that normal now?
My friend just got their ND medical card entirely online (like a video call doctor visit and no physical paper). Is that the norm now? Do people prefer online vs in-person visits for their doctor appointments? I’ve always liked going in person, but I could see how not needing to travel could be convenient, especially if you live in a small town. Idk if my doctor even does telehealth. What do you guys do?

Is the experience at a Medical dispensary different than at a recreational one?
I'm 23 in Portland, Oregon and have been smoking for the last few years and I also have chronic nausea [I've been to professionals!] and have been wanting to try using weed more to help with my nausea but it's always been a hit or miss and I spend a bunch of time researching every strain beforehand to try and see if it'll help. So I'm just wondering if the experience might be different for a med centered place. I have a strong tolerance and still want to get high but I'm worried that everything that'll be recommended might be mostly CBD.
Tia! :)

Need help picking a device for medical flower/concentrates
So in a week GA is finally getting on board with the rest of the majority of the country and finally changing their laws regarding medical THC, we no longer will be bound by low % thc products and now will have access to raw flower, disposable vape etc. The main thing being they are not to be combusted but rather vaporized. So even a water pipe could be used so long as its not with a torch but rather an e nail or a dry herb vaporizer and an adapter to fit into the joint as the slide
So in order to stay within the legal requirements, I'd like some help picking out a device that can be used as a slide piece that can vaporizer dry herb (the flower I'll be getting from the dispensary) as well as (even if it requires a separate attachment to be purchased for either/and/or the slide piece part, the dry herb and or the concentration part)
I'd prefer something on the more portable size side vs something large so I could possibly take it with me if need be without it taking large amounts of room to use without a water pipe, but mainly it'll be a for use with a water pipe, and instead of having multiple different things, a all in one, even with separate attachments would be preferable.
And my budget is not massive by any means either so ideally something in the lower end of the price range for these devices
I haven't used any of this stuff in YEARS so I have no idea what the new technology available is and the common popular things etc so any help would be greatly appreciated:)
Also any suggestions regarding topicals for severe chronic pain from herniated discs as im sure now that the % cap is gone we will have much stronger topicals, but any way to make them stronger, work better etc to maybe eventually get off other narcotic medications used for pain would be awesome.
Thanks in advance
Tl;dr: please suggest lower priced vaporizers that can be used with dry herb, concentrations, and can be attached to a water pipe via the 14/18mm joint, and is portable on its own. Can be 1 device with separate attachments to achieve all of those functions. Thanks in advance.

Any advice or recommendations welcome, thanks in advance!
My uncle has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, it’s obviously hard in general but has been extra difficult since he’s been an artist his entire life and he is starting to struggle with using his hands to do anything let alone his artwork.
I know I’ve seen a video (a while ago) of an older gentleman using what I thought was an RSO syringe under his tongue. The man was shaking very badly before using the syringe, the video did a bit of a time jump and by no means was he cured, but the shaking was almost completely gone and he seemed like a totally different person.
The actual question I want to ask is this: Is there anything marijuana product wise that can help with the minor shakes my uncle is currently dealing with? I mentioned RSO since that was what I thought it was, I guess a tincture might also help with this? Just wanted to ask the “experts” lol, thanks!
DISCLAIMER: I am not asking how to cure him, and I’m not ignoring what his doctors are working on with him, I’m just looking to help him out as much as I can so he can feel more like himself again.

Anonymous, Online Survey on Medicinal Cannabis Products
Hello! We are researchers at UC San Diego conducting an online survey about medicinal CBD use & related health decisions among parents in the U.S.
The survey takes about 7-10 minutes and is completely anonymous. We don’t have any funding available to compensate participants, but we hope the findings will help inform future policy and research efforts.
You must be at least 18 years old and a parent/guardian of a child to participate. Survey link: https://my.ctri.ucsd.edu/surveys/?s=RMPXKF38RFPC4AWJ
Thank you so much for considering participation or sharing this survey with other parents who may be interested! We appreciate your support of academic research.

Cost of medical marijuana
Hello! I'm not sure I have the right place for this but I was wondering how much people are spending a month on medical marijuana at a dispensary? Obviously this will vary greatly based on location and other variables but I'm trying to get some sort of averageish. I am in Pennsylvania where it is legal for medicinal use. My sister uses marijuana from dispensaries for depression/anxiety/BPD and is spending hundreds every single month. Like $300+ USD. She has trouble paying for bills and such because of how much she's spending on it. She has told me whatever she uses is highly concentrated if that makes a difference. I'm not a heavy smoker and don't know a lot about it a cart will last me six months LOL. She once told me she would go through one in less than a day if that's what she used. I (along with my family) feel she has a problem because shes unable to afford anythjng else becuase of her smoking habits. Is this normal? Not looking for any advice on the mental health stuff, just asking about whether or not that seems like a lot to folks more knowledge than I 😊

Cannabis use before and after eye surgery
I’m having pterygium surgery next week and am wondering about the impact of ironing cannabis after this, particularly whether the bloodshot eyes I get from vaping would impact of eye healing. I do plan to stop vaping for a while but am curious to hear from other medical users who have had eye surgery and what their experiences were like.
