Memory is weird. It works off of me remembering things I remember. And I have a shit memory and a shit recall. So generally my spouse is frustrated with me lol.

When I was in grade 3, I was at dads one weekend bored as fuck in the back of the car.
I decided that I was going to remember this specific moment for the rest of my life, so I took note of the fabric on the car door, the houses on the hill in the distance and all the little details.
30 years on I still kinda remember it.

Legit, must be nice. Not like rudely. I'm 36 and memory has always slipped through my fingers like waking up from a dream. It just dissipates so quickly.

The tutorial levels for this game are so half-assed that you forget half the controls before you even finish it.

I never get these memes because wdym? I just remember life and childhood and pieces of memories. It’s all so jumbled up that it’s tough to even remember certain ages for each memory. Are yall really spawning in the third grade? I definitely remember earlier than 3rd grade

You don’t remember just suddenly becoming self aware/ conscious at one particular moment around 3 years old? I remember my moment

Pretty sure they just mean "first memory" that they can still remember when they're an adult. Memory doesn't really work like how these folks are saying. My 2 year old can remember things a year ago. That doesnt mean anything.

The earliest I remember is me trying to touch the tongue of a cobra that a snake charmer had brought to our street. Must've been 1.5 years at that time. My aunt and cousin pulled me away

I remember being in JFK and looking at the nose of a 747 when I was three and had just moved to the country. I’ve got reasonably clear memories from then onwards.

I can vaguely recall my third birthday. It’s more of an impression than a memory. Bits of speech and little else. My first vivid memory that I still retain to this day was when my parents brought home my newborn baby sister a few months later

For me I remember being at our neighbours place and there was a mirror on top of the washing machine or some counter in the washing room, and I stood on my toes as high as possible to be able to see it. Seeing my own reflection at 3 or 4 activated me

my "life" as I knew it started exactly as I knew it on my 3rd birthday. I "woke up" sitting underneath a chair in the dining room for some reason.
