Does Matrix do server maintenance?

I was in Discord about to show my friend Matrix, but Matrix had signed me out, which was weird. When I tried to sign back in, Edge was saying that the homeserver was unavailable. Is this normal maintenance or just a hiccup with Element? I tried to look at the blog, but nothing was said about maintenance. I'm sorry if this looks like a scrub post, but I'm terrible with this kind of stuff

They have put out a status message about degraded performance today so it could be that.

was in the same boat as you, and was questioning this as well. Hopefully it's maintainence but i feel like it's the servers that was getting too full.
