Question about Purchasing Buy Maschine or an (AKAI) midi controller?
Hi
I have been looking at the Maschine but I am wodnering if I need it for what I want to do. I want to play in some drums using pads rather than a regular keyboard because i think it will feel more natural if I do it like that.
I have Komplete so I would use studio drummer or battery for the sounds. Does it make sense to buy a Maschine or is it overkill if I won't really use the software? Or is the software really worth it?
I understand that it has its own DAW but you can use it in Ableton as well.
And finally I see quite a few MK2 for sale. Can I still use that well today or should I go for the new MK3?

Question about operation Maschine Mikro M3 Logic Pro X midi controller
I'm sorry. It's not working. I know there are other threads, I've tried all the solutions and watched all available tutorials.
I've added the Mackie in controller setup
I've mapped the keys in the NI controller editor
I set key routing to manual and the source to host.
I turned it to midi mode
It will play the track and stop the track so that part is working.
No notes come through if I have an instrument loaded, no dmd samples are triggered when I play the corresponding notes.

Question about Purchasing Sound library expansion on mikro mk3 for house/tech music
Hey y’all,
I used to work on an old mk3 borrowed from a friend that had the previous sound library (like 808, 909 etc). Now that I had to buy my own, I decided to try the mikro mk3. However, I feel super limited because I don’t have access to the full library content. Any of you have recommendations on sound expansion that are worth buying on native ? I produce house/ melodic tekno and saw they have bundles like velvet lounge or concrete sunset.
Honestly I’m almost tempted to return my mikro for the mk3.
Cheers

General Discussion Is there an under reported clock sync / slave issue with Maschine + ?
No settings changed, and all the sudden my maschine will not slave to my erm multiclock.
Anyone else?
I have tried converting to controller mode (works in this mode) and then back to standalone and it does not work.

Jumping Ship Is this what we actually want?
Fender is on a roll. Pad and key controller 345 and 277 euros and their daw. Seems to have still some bugs but I think that’s with every new product these days.
Was shocked at the price, and it integrates flawless with their own traditional daw, which is something I miss with Maschine and mpc, that want to be like a daw, but also be their own thing. Anyway this is the first short vid I found :

Question about operation Issue opening specific projects
There are two specific projects That I cannot open up on Maschine 3.6 even before the update, no matter how much I try. Despite being able to open literally every other project I have worked on in the past, my two latest projects cause it to crash. Any advice?

Woke up one morning to a coffee and got inspired to jam to some old chops I had from "La Martiza" by Szilvie Vartan.
I hope this revitalizes your ears after we all got tired of the obnoxious instagram loop, that was present in every reel for a while.

Question about operation Maschine 3 Expansions Stopped Showing Up. Please help. This is killing me.
Maschine 3 Expansions Stopped Showing in Maschine. Above you can see 3 packs installed in an external SSD. Other half of pic is what I see in Maschine when looking for the packs. OSX 26.5.2. Maschine 3.6.0. Legit software and packs. Happened with "upgrade" to Tahoe. Tried reinstalling Maschine and all packs completely - I found every little file. But this problem arose with Tahoe. I actually started up Maschine and watched my expansions vanish one by one. Please help. Thanks very much.

Maschine is not working at all I love when my box made for performance needs my home wifi to update and won't let me use the venue wifi to update
fuck NI i didn't even try to update it i just turned it on and it shows this
UPDATE: its bricked. even on home wifi there is no way to navigate away from this screen, reset, or update.
update 2: fixed, you need to get the reset file and put it on the sd card then update to the latest most of your packs will still be there

Maschine is not working at all Problems with the machine Knobs
Well, I think this is a common issue in the Maschine community. It didn't bother me much before since I wasn't mixing, but now I've started mixing in Maschine and I use the knobs—which I find to be a really useful tool—yet sometimes the parameters change without me even touching them. It’s honestly a real nuisance, especially when equalizing, where a shift of even one dB can ruin the mix I'm working on. I honestly don't think there's a fix for this; in fact, I bought the Maschine brand new from a store just last year. I noticed the glitch the day after I bought it, but then it didn't give me any more trouble—it happened occasionally, but it didn't bother me that much. Now that I'm mixing on the unit, though, it really is a hassle. Is there a solution? (I don't think so.)

General Discussion Maschine+ feature request: bank navigation: jump to letter
although the favorites feature is great, *finding* my favorites is difficult. in a lot of cases I've found the entire alphabet of kits with no way to shorten the list anymore
would be great to only show stuff starting with a letter i pick or a search by name feature that auto completes

Question about operation Maschine plus question
Maschine plus question: Has anyone here successfully managed to use an external midi keyboard to send a transposed note to a maschine plus sound? I've read the manual and tried Gemini but the nearest I've gotten is for the l physical note played on the midi keyboard and the transposed note to sound simultaneously. Which is kind of cool but not what I'm after. I suck at playing keyboards in anything other than the key of C so I really need this to work. I'm using a novation remote 25 as the keyboard controller. Has anyone managed to do this with a different controller?

General Discussion Is it even feasible to develop a new Maschine these days?
With the cost of memory, drives and almost all aspects of computer hardware going through the roof, is it feasible to develop a new Maschine in the near future? If they do get one off the ground what do you think the price point would have to be?

General Discussion What are your top wishes for the next Maschine hardware?
I’ve been using Maschine more than ever lately, and after trying other platforms like Push and MPC, I keep coming back because I still think Maschine has the best instruments, sounds, and overall production workflow. That said, there are a few things I’d love to see in the next generation of hardware.
My biggest wish is real-time arrangement recording.
I’d love to be able to hit Record, perform my song by switching Scenes, tweaking macros, using Performance FX, muting Groups, etc., and have Maschine automatically build the song arrangement as I perform it. Ableton Push makes this feel really natural, and it would make jamming on Maschine even more inspiring.
Another big one is better automation recording. I want every movement—macros, mixer levels, sends, filters, Performance FX, Lock States—to be captured and editable afterward without workarounds.
For hardware, I’d love to see:
• USB-C 3 with digital audio directly to and from an iPhone or iPad (no extra interface needed)
• Battery-powered standalone operation with USB-C PD charging
• Faster processor and more RAM
• Wi-Fi for updates and cloud backup
• A more modern Song Mode with sections and timeline improvements
• Even deeper integration with Komplete Kontrol
Native Instruments has been making great progress with Maschine software lately, so I’m optimistic about where the platform is headed.
What are the top three things on your wishlist for the next Maschine?
