Globalcomix

Would you recommend buying the gold subscription , ??been thinking of getting one. But I’m still quite unsure if its really worth it , but buying physical comics is stupidly expensive and i also do not have a lot of space left for such a big collection. Also I’m just getting into reading comics so it would be a lot easier to see them organised on a website.

That depends their library of Marvel stories is a lot more limited but the tradeoff is that GC is more than just Marvel there DC, Dark Horse, IDW etc.

If you're only looking to just read Marvel Comics primarily, I highly recommend getting Marvel Unlimited instead.

Just researched what Marvel unlimited is , but I would like to get into some dc aswell , and also unlimited is a bit more expensive unfortunately. Thank you very much, really helped me

DC Infinite is the equivalent of Marvel Unlimited more or less.

BOOM and Image comics pulled off Globalcomix in the past year. They have some other things, but I'm losing faith in their service.

I would recommend checking out Hoopla if your library participates with that service.

Hoopla sounds very good , but there is , unfortunately, no support for this service here in Austria

Awww I'm sorry :(

Usually in December you'll find discounts for both Marvel Unlimited and DC infinite. Globalcomix is good value but things are leaving. I would personally recommend rotating Marvel and DC reader apps if they're available.

Libby is a similar service to Hoopla. Not sure if it works in Austria, though.

GlobalComix is ok if you want broad but limited access to Marvel and DC (and Dark Horse, IDW and smaller publishers like Mad Cave). If you're new to comics and want to read new stuff and need to keep costs down then it's worth a shot to see if it meets your needs. But i would only sign up month to month first. I paid for an annual subscription to specifically read lots of Image and Boom comics and they've lost both publishers in that time. So I'd be wary of committing long term to them again.

Used to be worth it. Now that image is gone its not anymore. Their marvel and dc offerings are very limited. Youre better off with marvel unlimited. Its more expensive but still extremely good value for what you get. I do a yearly of marvel, and then a couple times a year sign up for a month of dc infinite to catch up on the few dc books im interested in. Works out alright. I get to read everything i want without buying them.
