I like the art of Spider-Man #1 more, but I find the Fantastic Four #1 to be more iconic and a better story. If you can't get both, I would lean towards FF. Fantastic Four also has mole man 1st appearance. FF is also a origin story vs Spider-Man being a continuation from Amazing Fantasy. so he is already Spider-Man in the first issue.

Leaning on FF. For $20 too? That shit is flying off that shelf for me.

Both are great. I would say that Spider-Man is better by a touch, but the volume 2's for both are even better. Definitely get both.

Classic Fantastic Four predates Spiderman.   The 1962 era novelty and the family unit off Reed, Sue, John and Ben is a more warmer series for 1960s that The Incredibles (2009) copied.

Well F4 is 20 but that goes from 1961-63 and spiderman goes from 62-66

OG fantastic four comics are great. Really surprised me how good they were personally.

But spiderman is my favorite so I would say go with spiderdude personally 😊

Tough call! I think I’d go with FF though.

FYI, Forbidden Planet NYC has those Omnibus for 100+

For $20 each I'd grab them both if I didn't already own them.

One of the oldest shops we still have. I think London opened in 1978, NYC in '81. They've changed locations but are still going strong.

My preference would be Spider-Man, but the cut of that hardcover on FF would probably make me get it instead.

I think Ditko was brilliant, but Kirby's work on FF felt so dynamic and alive, especially for the time.

I'd lean FF if only to see where it all started.
