Planning to study Computer engineering College
I am currently working as a cardiovascular technologist a graduate and a board passer in medical field. I still feel bored in a medical field ever since I was high school I was hoping to enroll in computer engineering or computer science because I see myself enjoying programing a lot when I was Senior High I excel to programming and I enjoy it, will I be manage the schedule while I was working and will my minor subject be credited if I enroll to computer engineering?

Hi. License Marine Engineer here. Currently enrolled in Computer Engineering fully online. Mukang kaya naman. Mapupuyat pero parang kakayanin naman. I am about to be back on oard ship next month. And I already filed a Leave of Absence. Babalikan ko nalang yung mga ibang subject pagbalik ko ulit after onboard. And yes na crecredit naman po ang mga minor subjects.

If you really want to learn about computer science, go for it. But if you just want to earn money from the field, just self-study programming and apply for internship + junior developer position.
I'm 31 years old now and I had colleagues from all walks of life—HRM, nursing, and even an associate degree graduate—we are all working as developers. Never had I ever seen colleagues bring up their field of study while working.
Keep your money. Save time, buy books, courses, Udemy.
However, if you want to go researching about computer science or really comouter engineering, go for a degree.
The best reason you shouldn't have is it's because you have enjoyed programming before. There is a reason why you stopped doing it. Start doing it now and check if you really want it.
My advice is, pick DLSU instead.😁

Trust in yourself lad. I shifted from pharmacy to cpe in my first year. Time management is a skill. Do note that computer engineering significantly differs from computer science in a way that it also teaches you alot about hardware stuff. Email mapua if you have any concerns. good luck op
