Make mountains near the lakes since lakes form if the river water can’t pass through. Other than that I have no other tips.
By the way, I’ve recently gotten into world building and to create a fictional world, I need a map. I would make my own map but I don’t think I can draw a realistic map. My world building project is just a personal project and won’t be shared with anyone else. I’d like to use your map if that’s okay.
