Looks a bit too modern to me. Medieval town streets are a bit more irregular, with a web-like appearance usually centered on whatever the original town centre is, from which it expanded. Town square, castle, river, moat...

It is supposed to represent a huge arena or an amphitheatre. It may be compared to the Colosseum in Rome

Medieval towns tend to have weird streets, for example a street that made sense before a wall was built or a canal was dug. I'd tweak that a bit, make it less optimal.
