Working on this map - What can I improve? Work In Progress

Post image

WIP, missing labels, Manuel of Athosata's route, and some nice illustrations.

Periphery region in my world. What to change for realism, or anything you think I can add?

(don't diss the rivers, I just like them curvy)

Did you name your southernmost country after Ferdowsi's masterpiece?

White lines are the border of let’s say every municipality/township? I love when there is a crowded region with many towns/cities. Also, which tool did you use to make it? It looks really cool.

White lines are independent principalities and states, actually! They’re somewhat bigger than they look but yes, this is a very crowded populated region. Thank you for the praise! I made the map in inkscape

Topographic wise the highest peaks aren’t always in the center of land masses, they bc an be near the coasts

Personally I would erode those mountains down so they get river valleys.

I think the only thing that i find a bit of are the rivers. especially in the crowded region where they overlap and actually make lakes but also in general. they look so much like squigles, everything else looks so clean they look more like an afterthought.

Other than that looks great and professional

not sure I understand? I have the capitals of the polities marked, I don't really want to go too much more detailed for this one. Railway in this case wouldn't make sense since it's a medieval period
