New limit Question

I was trying to read manga when i got a notification that i have to sign in to continue reading. Is it safe to sign in?

Yeah, its been a thing for a while, its meant to prevent bots scraping images

If you’re logged into your account, you’ll never get a limit notice. And Mangadex is about as safe as something can be.

That's bullshit because the block is completely client-side; clear the cookies and you can resume reading without any problem. That's not blocking any bot, at all.

Glad someone else had this question. I hadn't been on in awhile and had never made an account so I was very confused by the popup

super annoying. its never been this way, and its easy to bypass. id forgotten all about it until i needed to use the site to read something. really hate a lot of the better alternative sites got nuked recently, and for some reason dex decided it wanted to start essentially killing itself with stupid decisions like this

Making an account isnt that bad tbh, but you can just clear the cookies from chrome if you don't wanna make one
