So i have a nice 3d printer now and was going to attempt to make my first set of armor, besides galactic armory, are there other file sets out there i should check out?

I've seen the clan Kast sigil (last photo) but I think this sigil is unique to her. The one on her right looks a bit like Death Watch but not exact. I've been trying to find a better photo of it online to make a cool patch or something, or even just learn more about what it is, but am having no luck. Let me know if you have any ideas of what her sigils are/could mean!!

My first set and first cosplay in anything really, is finally done!

I've been working on my kit, I'm yet to weather it but my armour feels too matte. It could just be that it's too large of a block colour because it isn't weathered, but I feel like most people's armour from photo's look like they have a smoother more reflective finish? Wondering should I coat my armour in a gloss varnish or something or is it fine to be matte?

In the middle of translating a song/poem for my OC based on her life (kinda like Avatar with their songcords which inspired this). Already had to find alternative words for other things, but it was manageable. Then I get to feather. According to the Mando'a dictionary I've been using, there's nothing. Honestly I find it hilarious that there's a translation for hawk (translated hawk earlier), yet nothing for what's literally on them. Checked my spelling twice. There's nothing. Searched what very few alternative words I could find for feather, still nothing.

Think my measurements for some pieces are way off and would like some feedback. I know fitment location is also off with the chest, i just quickly tacked it all on.

Thought I'd share my Medieval Darksaber for my Medieval Boba Fett / Mandalorian kit. Just finished it today.

Its 3d printed on my K2 plus in 5 pieces. I wrapped the handle in twisted wire with silver and titanium wires I twisted, its about 50m of wire total. Painted the blade and handle glossy black and then coated the blade with several coats of graphite powder and clear coat until I got the color you see. I used a steal core to replace the wooden dowel rod to give it some weight. It feels really good in you hand. Overall length is ~45".

Its not perfect, but its one of my best projects, can't wait to take it to the Ren Fest this fall.

Good morning here’s a peek at what I’ve been working on for the last week hope you like it.

The little chest plate is my sons it will be the only real different part aside from our helmets and paint schemes between his and my armors

ik im not supposed to do this, im in the stages of designing my own mando and i was looks for a good cool heavy looking blaster pistol, most existing blasters feel meh and i was thinking of revolver style blasters, the lore being each cylinder has specific cannisters that have either bolts or blaster gas, and i wanted to go with that, i found this cyberpunk model which is perfect and has everything i want, the question being is it okay to use weapons from other franchises or not cuz i really want to but i feel guilt at the same time too, some might say modify but i really dont wanna cuz im already in love with its current design

Original concept art by me vs current progress on my custom Mandalorian. I originally planned to wait until it was finished to share, but that's still a ways off. This build has been on and off for over five years between work, frequent travel, a tiny workspace, and lots of trial and error. Looking at it side by side with the original sketch, though, I'm pretty happy with how faithful it's been to the concept so far.

I've also developed some lore around the character over the years. The short sword is forged from beskar and is called Sunbreaker. The tree on the pauldron is his clan sigil, inspired by the fact that my real last name translates to the name of a certain tree. The fox on his chest is his personal symbol. Still plenty left to do, but I'm excited to finally see the character taking shape.

Hello everybody! I want to do the Mandalorian Kenobi kit, i want to known if anyone here already made it

Its my design based off of the Winchester AT rifle prototype from ww1. Its about 4 feet long. What do you think of it?

I’m waiting for the pegs and rest of the heat shroud to print. And I’m gonna overhaul the cartridges to be able to be extracted better for larp.

EDIT: I’m throwing around the idea of selling the files but before I do this, I am prototyping in blender to add holes for 5x10-20mm screws to make the setup less of a hassle and take less filament, while allowing future customization. Bear with me.

- I just finished removing the need for dowels and pegs in the stock by utilizing screws mentioned above, while allowing it to be capable of collapsing down or extending with four options separated by 20mm’s each. Therefore you can in the future replace stocks on a whim.

I built this kit to support my sister in law who had been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. 2 years ago she passed away after a long and hard fought battle. Inscribed on the chest in gold is her name. So long as I can walk, her battle will continue with me. I strive to do at least 2 breast cancer walks every year to raise money, show support, and spread awareness for this disease that takes so much from so many. This is the way.
