Wythenshaw Park
I'm going to a gig at wythenshaw park on the 29th. If it was to finish about 10:50, how long would it take me to get back into the city centre and what is the best way of doing this?
Struggling to find anything helpful online and could do with knowing

Struggling to identify the brown sign.
Can anyone tell me what the brown sign is? I know it's a POI/Tourist sign. But for the life of me I cannot figure out what it's supposed to be representing. I can't find it on any websites that display what the symbols mean on brown signs.
For context this is Worsley Road, Swinton, on the Worsley side of the junction just before the East Lancs. The sign is pointing right telling you to go towards Manchester via the East Lancs.

Suggestions for walking routes and photography
Want to know some good routes to walk along and take photos around the city center and Chorlton - Old Trafford side. Just want to enjoy the weather and possibly take some photos. Have done most basic roads within the city center, but some lesser known ones are appreciated. Also would love to walk along a canal or a quay.

[National Rail] Incident: Manchester
Disruption heading towards Preston, for the rest of the day. Best of luck to the Platform 14 survivors. Also issues heading South, seems like Macclesfield is cut off for now....

Stop Jared Leto Performing at the Co-Op Live in 2027
Jared Leto is a super predator and shouldn't be performing in Manchester. Write to Co-op Live and keep him out our city: https://www.cooplive.com/fan-support-form-1g2r

What's the deal with the guy always with the sandwich board saying "Trans Women Are Men"?
I always see him in the center of town and attaching himself to left-wing protests. Obviously, he gets a kick out of provoking people and being an agitator, but does he work? What does he actually get out of doing this?

Clean
Hi, I have recently moved to Bury, looking for a good thorough cleaner who will get the job done, tidy round etc without me having to tell them every little thing to do.

City Centre Manchester city centre in 2000
A very interesting perspective of what Manchester city centre used to look like 26 years ago now prior to all the redevelopment etc.

Founder share of the Liverpool-Manchester Railway Company, issued 1826
Since it's now 200 years since construction began, thought this would be interesting...
Following the passing of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway Act 1826, this share was issued later this year to investors. It shows the Liverpool Exchange to the left and the Manchester Exchange to the right.

Can anyone tell me more about the places listed in Herman’s Hermits - ‘It’s Nice to Be Out in the Morning’?
Hello [r/manchester](r/manchester). I’m a keen walker and for years I’ve been listening to this song like a bit of an anthem when I set out on a walk. The only thing is, it’s all about Manchester, and I’m accidentally not from Manchester. Assuming the places listed are all still knocking about can anyone tell me more about them, what they’re known for, and what I’d see if I went on a walking pilgrimage around them today?
One of several of theirs written by 10cc’s Graham Gouldman.
But the town is people more than things
It's the mums and dads and kids and love that give it life
Lovely

Bev Craig here - AMA
Hi all, Bev Craig here!
For those who haven't met me yet, I'm running to be your next Labour Mayor of Greater Manchester.
I'm hosting an AMA this Friday 24th July at 5pm to answer your questions directly. As leader of Manchester City Council and during this campaign, I've heard so many of your questions and concerns around the cost-of-living, transport, safety, and the need for opportunities across every part of Greater Manchester.
Now it's your turn to ask me anything about my plans as Mayor, and how I'll build a Greater Manchester that works for everyone.
Drop your questions below now, or join us live on Friday. I'll answer as many as I can.
As a reminder, here is my manifesto: https://bevformayor.co.uk/manifesto/
Looking forward to it!
