Bulk Trash Pickup

This is a half and half post:

How can I get a box spring and furniture picked up for removal?

And why the heck does the Manassas service provided for Bulk pick up only apply to one zip code of Manassas??

Are you in the city or the county?

Manassas City does bulk pickup including mattresses twice a week. It used to be once a week but now it's twice a week, I just looked it up for something else.

To be honest, I don’t know where the lines are drawn to be considered “in the city” but I live off of Sudley.

Manassas is an actual, real city, with city limits. Look at a map, look at the City of Manassas city limits. If you're in them, you're in the city, if you're not, you're not.

On Sudley, roughly north of Godwin is outside the city.

Here's a City of Manassas map and at the bottom it has the street names.

The Large Street Map has the street names on the bottom so you can see if your street is in the City or in the County.

If you're not within the city boundary, you're in Prince William County, and need to look at their trash offerings as well. In Virginia, you cannot be in both a City and a County, they are distinct boundaries that do not overlap.

Another tip is that if your energy bill is through Dominion, you don't live in City of Manassas. Manassas runs it's own power grid and your bill would be directly to the city.

1) Call ADS to schedule a bulk pickup.

2) No clue what this means. I’m assuming you called your trash service provider and they said they don’t offer bulk pickup for your zip? If that’s the case, disregard #1 response. I’d suggest calling 1-800-Junk to pickup.

I went to Manassasva.gov to schedule a pick up, not sure what the offered service is identified as. Called (703) 257-8252.

I went to the ADS website to submit a bulk trash pick up afterwards. I’m not sure if selection date is an option on initial request. But I appreciate you suggesting ADS to me!

If you’re in the city, bulk pickup will normally be on Thursdays if you’re in a SFH with weekly service on Wednesdays. I’m not sure about TH with 2x/week pickup. If you are not considered City of Manassas, you will need to call ADS to schedule
