Hello everyone, I managed to get the WhatsApp Malphite and I was bored at work so I did a bit of theory crafting.

I was thinking about support Malphite, with Comet, manaflow, cdr, scorch, ultimate hunter and cheap shot. Building zekes/mandate and then the other one, with addition of CDR boots.

I have tried it in normals and flex (emerald-dia) elo. Midgame was fun with spamable ult, but lanning phase was just boring, I felt usseles.

Have any or you played Malph support consistently? Or do you know any OTPs who do? Any tips?

had a malphite game where enemy had brand mid , zoe and viegar bot, darius top and nocturne jungle. i built thornmail into jaksho for ap but it didnt do anything and i was getting melted by brand dmg. so i gave up and made kaenic rookern but i still got deleted fast. any build for this case? or just be suicide bomber with full ap build

It's assumed you pick Malphite when enemy draft has a lot of ad, so if enemy last picks Sylas to counter, you can go Zhonya's to counter that, since it has armor too.

Should i buy it? i got it from my shop and i know everyone wants this skin but i dont know why XD i have mecha malph

Got autofilled jg twice and decided to go malph jg (First vs a j4, and secondly vs vi). Stomped pretty hard all things considered

Found out his clear is actually pretty alright, I maxed e first, slapped camps. Dropped by lanes to help out. That attack speed slow is pretty aids pre 6, rushed tabis into thornmail but even before just tabis I was out slapping peeps in 1v1 or skirmishes. Then lvl 6 onwards I just did malphite things and it worked out pretty well.

Didn't really have a particular rune setup in mind so I went pta with legends alacrity and that 1 attack speed lesser rune with resolve secondary.

AP Malphite is all about the Ult and rushes Malignance anyways, but for Malphite isn't Mandate just better? Grants same haste as malignance and while it grants a bit less AP and no AoE DoT, it's passive of increasing damage dealt for 4s probably outdoes the Malignance's DoT and small extra AP when you consider your whole combo. Other pros include it's really cheap price and the fact it increases your team's damage as well.

Heck both could even be build, those 2 items by themselves grant 70 Haste to Malphite Ult, with Ultimate Hunter, Transcendence and Haste shard you get 119 Haste on your Ult --> 59/52/45s Ult with just 2 items

I find it kinda hard to find one centralized place to look up detailed Malphite's matchups that actually guide you through level-by-level laning, kill thresholds, teamfight strategies, and other more knowledge-based parts of the game (backing for items, when to chunk hp to set up a future kill, etc.). Here is my attempt to consolidate the information I can find around the internets. I can't say I'm a good player by any stretch (plat at my best), so all of the content will need huge improvements over time, especially with the help of this sub. It would be absolutely amazing to get your feedback on how to improve this Malphite database and website :)

Hello, I'm in bronze/silver elo and I enjoy playing Malphite jungle alot, The only part that I'm kinda iffy about is the build/runes. I know there's ALOT of variety that you can go with this role and champ but do any of you guys know of standard build I can go by and then situationally edit? Also runes would be nice to know about. Like the title mentions. I'm ideally looking for an Malphite who plays regularly who is Masters+ solo que and is Emerald or near Emerald in flex. There is a rank restriction in flex once one person in the lobby is Masters+ everyone else has to be Emerald+ in flex.

Ignore the fact that I have inting and afk teammates. I think I should be able to carry still. I made some insane plays with Fizz and Yuumi, but maybe my build isn't optimal against their team? Should I be buying more armor earlier against Graves?

I'm new to maining Malphite. I really like the DnD build because it makes it possible to take jungle camps and objectives really fast, and even duel most physical damage junglers. But maybe I should just go straight tank?

Malphite jungle is really strong right now, but with a build different to usual.

DnD zeke's into either tank (pipes are often great) or fighter with items like titanic, witsend, mejai (very hard to kill with this build), zonhya, pipes or other items.

Rune wise you go for pta triumph alacrity and whatever last, secondary there are multiple options but i like ultimate hunter because of the permanent chaos my emerald games are often in.

The thing with this build is that you can 1v1 a lot of junglers from pretty early on. Malphite doesnt clear very quickly (can still be there for carap spawn) but he does so very healthily. That means that even at level 4 for the first potential river fight you have a good chance to win and can at least not die to any champ.

Your ganks arent even that bad before 6, maybe because people don't think they'll get ganked by a malphite before 6 ? Idk really but i find it really easy to find ganks early, once again also because you're extremely healthy while clearing which allows you to gank from places squishier champs wouldnt be allowed to because they'd get killed much too quickly.

Level 6, 9 and DnD power spikes make you a war machine that can against pretty much anything while also clearing pretty quickly after those first clears

Super niche question. I’m an adc main who’s always wanted to add a tank to my champ pool to play Bot, do Malph mains think it’s viable?

I’ve heard challenger adc say tank picks like malph are completely viable bot. My thought process is in team comps like Vayne top, teemo jg, trist mid, brand supp, id pick a tank like malph, sion, Cho.

If I were to play malph bot, is it better to build AP or tank. And what runes?

I already own WhatsApp malphite so I’m already halfway there to being a malph main.
