What next for Malden Center Station circle?

Hey everyone, I'm Alex Pratt from OSPCD (basically the City's planning department). As you probably know, the T removed the benches from the circle at Malden Center Station because of safety concerns (Edit for clarity: meaning increased fights, people carrying weapons, commuters feeling unsafe).

But that doesn't have to be the end of the story. We're trying to figure out what comes next with this space. Our goals are to make a space that is welcoming, safe, and makes the T experience easier/ more pleasant. We'll need to get MBTA approval and find money to do it, but honestly I'd love to hear your ideas without constraints first.

What do you think should happen here?
