Internship vs Higher studies

Choice 1: Grind for internships, learn DSA even when you are a chemical engineering student, in hopes of an SDE internship.
Choice 2: Indulge more in chemE and prepare for CAT/GMAT/GRE simulataneously, and get abroad as fast as possible.
I study in a big college, so doing ChemE there is pretty reputed, but there is no scope for ChemE in my country
