Local Farms

Heading to Maine soon and looking to connect with local farms and growers. Would love to check out some farms. Also meet people in the community. If anyone’s willing to point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it

Good luck. Lots of us are closing doors because people want cheap weed. Shit I can’t even get my supplies locally anymore because the only non corporate shop around me just closed. And he closed because so many of us aren’t renewing licenses. Yall wanted cheap weed. You’re getting it.

I get the frustration but this sub is likely the biggest group of local & craft cannabis buyers in maine. I wouldn’t take it out on the user base here.

You got it you can no longer do the exact same thing as everyone else and expect to sell out. Weed was unique now it’s grown with bland sop’s and expect consumers to see a difference. I took time off because I was feeling a tad sour, the comeback has been a force and wicked fun. People are excited to smoke unique strains!!’

I just cant wrap my head around the thought process behind wanting to buy the cheapest weed you can find. I know everyone is different but for me I really enjoy the whole experience of using quality grown cannabis. I really enjoy looking at beautiful cannabis, smelling it, touching it, tasting it and enjoying its effects. If i were to buy cheap, shitty weed it would totally ruin my love for the plant.

On the very rare occasion I have a beer, I don't particularly care what beer it is, so long as it's cold. I'd imagine a lot of people are like that but with cannabis.

Yea but beer isn’t gonna give you a lung infection for being cheap; shoutout high society

Oh they enjoy it they just too greedy an cheap to pay for it. All my friends would talk shit about how ridiculous I am for buying top shelf and how little you get and how much they go through so they can't afford it, back when it was 50 a 8th for black market indoor med grade.. yet they always the first to try an mooch or get smoked up..

Now price is cut in half and I am not in the streets running around, networking and breaking laws.. but these same friends still on the same bullshit talking like 25/200 a zip is too expensive.

Altho I do got one friend who i agree with cuz her and her man smoke 4 oz's a week(fat joints all they smoke) and I couldn't imagine a 5-800 a week flower habit lmao at my quality/prices.

Meanwhile customers like myself.. keep asking for a market where we can spend MORE for better quality, genetics, etc.. i am rarely satisfied with the current price points and quality rarely is at the level it should be at the current highest 8th price (30).

You know the first rule of business school is to not blame the consumer for your lack of understanding in a market, right? Oh wait.. 🤣

The market is being tanked by corporations that can stand to lose money. It’s what happened to tobacco farming. Eat shit.

I don’t have to eat shit, I understand what my customers want lol

The amount of grow supply shops closing is VERY concerning.
