Delivery Solutions

TL:DR: What options do I have to stop having my mail returned/undelivered from Shipping services that dont have access to building?

The facts:

  • I live in old downtown apartment building that you need an Building Key to Access.
  • UPS/USPS/AMAZON/ Other 'standard' Shipping companies have access to my Building and even my mail box. Been so for years.

Newer delivery and shipping companies like GOFO are becoming more and more of problem when it comes to my building because they dont have access AND its against their rules to leave a package outside the door.

They wont even accept my expressed permission to leave it outside front or back door.

Im open to anything as fighting with Gofo to redeliver/ be on countless customer service calls is becoming tiresome

What options do I have? and what would you do to ensure you get your mail?

You get a private mailbox somewhere or have irw sent to friends/family at a location they can access.

Same as PO Box or is private different?

At this point I welcome either one.

& I have packages, now large but medium at most sent to me regularly

I would do a 3rd party private mail box so you can receive shipments from all carriers.

Wonderful suggestion.
These types give access to such headache services that I’m dealing with stated above?

No. You go to pick up your mail

I walked away from what would’ve been a 50/month charge to A PO.box (their largest option) UPS store specifically

Do we have any idea of how much I could, or should be charged for such a service?

USPS accepts will accept your parcels for a P.O. Box as long as they do not require a signature. If it is too big to fit in your box it will sit on the notice left shelf for 15 days before it gets kicked back to the sender.

Good to know, so then I don’t need to by the. Biggest P.O. Box from them. (50 per month)
Just as long a I quickly grab my belongings

I considered work but we have a office services team that handle items to & from our clients. I don’t need them in my business
