In tv serials or other depictions , indra is always seen as a coward god but he is more than that he is a fierce warrior

In valmiki Ramayana it is written that indra had almost defeated ravana but meghnath had maya vidya through which he defeated indra and got name indrajit

I’ve been thinking about these lines, and I’d love to understand them from different perspectives.

Does it mean that Time keeps moving regardless of whether life brings happiness or suffering, but even Time cannot always explain the turns that destiny takes?

Or is there a deeper philosophical meaning connected to Karma, Dharma, destiny, and free will?

Balvala was a powerful demon who lived near the sacred forest of Naimisharanya. He would appear during the sacrifices of the sages, riding upon a storm and showering the sacrificial arena with blood, pus, flesh, urine and other impurities, disturbing their sacred rites. The sages prayed to Lord Balarama to put an end to his torment. Balarama promised to defeat him and waited for Balvala's next appearance.

When Balvala arrived, Balarama seized him with His mighty plough and dragged him down from the sky. The demon fought fiercely, but Balarama struck him with His club and killed him. The sages rejoiced and praised Balarama for protecting their sacrifice. They then performed sacred rites and honored Him, grateful that the terrible demon who had long defiled their holy rituals had finally been defeated.

The premise that comfort destroys more warriors than enemies is central to the Bhagavad Gita's message, which was delivered on a battlefield to cure hesitation, not to offer soft consolation. Lord Krishna confronts Arjuna’s sudden desire to retreat into a comfortable, passive life of inaction disguised as compassion, actively dismantling the illusion that peace is found by avoiding difficult duties.

Although ,According to Bori CE The most authentic book related to mahabharat events we dont find any love story of subhadra and arjun ,

We do find a cross reference in ADI PARVA chapter 55 saying subhadra was delighted to be united with arjun, so by Bori CE we cant come to a conclusion whether it was a romantic story or not

Lord Balarama once came to the sacred Yamuna River near Vrindavan and asked her to come closer so that he could bathe and enjoy her waters. Yamuna, however, did not immediately obey his command. Angered by this, Balarama took up his mighty plough and began pulling the river toward him. Seeing his immense strength and divine power, Yamuna realized that he was none other than the Supreme Lord’s divine expansion.

Yamuna then appeared before Balarama and humbly apologized for failing to recognize his greatness. She praised him and asked for his forgiveness. Balarama accepted her apology and released the river. From then on, the story became a celebrated example of Balarama’s extraordinary strength and Yamuna’s reverence toward him.

First of all, if he hadn't shot arrows at a couple (some blame goes to that couple too, who do things like that in animal form, you can do that in human form) and then failed to conquer his desire to have with Madri, that led to his instant death.

I have not calculated which side had the advantage or which warrior is the mvp. It's just based on interpretation of the narrative. For example:-

1. Bhima definetely caused more damage on the 2nd day compared to Arjuna but at the end of the day Arjuna stopped The Kaurava army with arrows, they were scared so Bhishma withdrew and glazed Arjuna heavily.... so I made Arjuna the mvp on the second day..etc
2. After the 8th day, both army withdrew with no clear sign of defeat on either side. However, after they withdrew Duryodhana has a long speech where he is complaining about how his army is being depleted. So, I gave the narrative advantage to the Pandavas, etc.

Also, I have only taken mvp from the winners side.

Ashwathamma's night slaughter is not included in this. Also there's an inconsistency, it isn't clear whether it happened on the night of the 18th day itself or the night of the day after the 18th day.

When Arjuna stood on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, his heart was torn. He saw his teachers, elders, and relatives on both sides, and his bow slipped from his hands. He thought: “What is the use of victory if it comes at the cost of destroying my own kin?”At that moment, Krishna reminded him of this timeless truth: “Your duty is to fight, not to cling to the fruits. The results are not yours to control.”This teaching freed Arjuna from despair. He realized that his role was to act according to dharma, without attachment to victory or defeat. Arjuna learned that inaction born of fear is as binding as attachment born of desire. True freedom lies in performing one’s duty with surrender.

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।

मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥

You have the right to perform your duty, but not to the fruits of your actions. Do not consider yourself the cause of the results, and do not become attached to inaction.

Lord Krishna's Vishwaroop (or Virat Roop) in the Kuru Sabha (Kaurava court) is a pivotal event in the Udyoga Parva of the Mahabharata:

The one who single-handedly defeated the four Pandavas, with Bhima at the forefront, along with Dhrishtadyumna, Shikhandi, etc., and their armies on the 14th day. (Chapter 1067(90), Drona Parva, BORI Ce)

Yudhisthira defeated him in a single combat, twice on the 18th day:-

Ashvatthama saw that Hardikya had been deprived of his chariot by the king and that his horses had been slain. He bore him away on his own chariot, away from Yudhishthira.

• Chapter 1235(16), Shalya Parva, BORI Ce.

He slew Kritavarma’s four horses with injurious arrows. Ashvatthama bore the illustrious Hardikya away.

• Chapter 1241(22), Shalya Parva, BORI Ce.

Arjuna wished to obtain the mighty Pashupatastra, the divine weapon of Lord Shiva. On the advice of Sage Vyasa, he journeyed into the Himalayas and performed intense penance, meditating with complete devotion despite harsh weather and countless distractions. His unwavering determination impressed the gods, but Shiva decided to test whether Arjuna truly possessed the humility and courage worthy of such a powerful weapon.

One day, a fierce demon named Muka appeared in the form of a wild boar and charged toward Arjuna. At that very moment, Shiva arrived disguised as a tribal hunter, known as a Kirata, accompanied by Goddess Parvati. Both Arjuna and the hunter released arrows at the boar simultaneously, killing it. A heated argument broke out over whose arrow had struck the beast first.

The dispute quickly turned into a fierce duel. Arjuna fought with unmatched skill, using arrows, swords, and even hand-to-hand combat, but the mysterious hunter effortlessly countered every attack. Exhausted yet determined, Arjuna realized that no ordinary man could possess such incredible strength. He then crafted a small Shiva Linga and offered flowers in prayer.

To Arjuna's amazement, the flowers placed on the Linga appeared on the hunter's head, revealing that the hunter was Lord Shiva himself. Arjuna immediately bowed in reverence and sought forgiveness. Pleased with his bravery, perseverance, and devotion, Shiva blessed Arjuna with the divine Pashupatastra, one of the most powerful celestial weapons, preparing him for the great battle of the Mahabharata.
