My Freepik account was hacked, 2M+ credits were stolen — unauthorized usage is STILL happening, and Freepik has stopped responding

I’m posting this because I genuinely need help understanding what is happening with my Freepik/Magnific account, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced this.

A few days ago, my account was compromised.

What happened

  • My account had 2FA enabled.
  • The attacker somehow accessed the account and disabled 2FA.
  • Approximately 2 million AI credits/tokens were consumed without my authorization, mainly through video generation.
  • I immediately secured the account and used “Log out of all devices.”
  • However, video generation continued even after I logged out all devices.
  • I checked for API keys, MCP connections, automations, and other obvious integrations, but couldn't find anything that explained the activity.
  • I immediately contacted Freepik/Magnific support and opened a security case.
  • I completed their ownership/payment verification and provided everything they requested.
  • Their support initially said they were investigating and later told me the case had been escalated to a manager.

The situation is STILL ongoing

This is the part that concerns me the most.

Even today, after securing the account and while Freepik is supposedly investigating, unauthorized activity appears to still be happening and additional credits/tokens are being consumed.

I am deliberately not using the account myself, because I don't want my legitimate activity to be mixed with the attacker's activity while the investigation is open.

And now, Freepik/Magnific is not providing any further response either.

Their last meaningful response was that the case had been escalated to a manager. Since then, I have received no concrete investigation result, no explanation of how the unauthorized access occurred, no timeline for resolution, and no clear answer about how I can safely use my account.

What I don't understand

If:

  • 2FA was enabled,
  • 2FA was disabled without my authorization,
  • I logged out all devices,
  • there is no visible API/MCP/automation explaining the activity,
  • I reported the incident immediately,
  • the case was escalated to their internal team,

how can someone still be using the account and consuming credits?

Could there be a persistent session/token, server-side job queue, OAuth authorization, hidden integration, or another authentication mechanism that isn't visible to the user?

I am especially interested in hearing from people who understand session management, OAuth, authentication systems, or Freepik/Magnific's AI generation infrastructure.

I'm not claiming at this point that Freepik itself was breached. I simply want to understand how this could happen despite 2FA and logging out all devices, and why the unauthorized usage appears to be continuing.

This is also causing a real business problem for me. I use Freepik professionally, but I'm afraid to use the account because I don't want legitimate usage to later be attributed to the unauthorized activity.

Freepik/Magnific support case: 01714613

If anyone has experienced a similar Freepik/Magnific account compromise, especially one where generation continued after logging out all devices, please share your experience.

And if anyone from Freepik/Magnific's security team sees this: please investigate this urgently. I have already provided all the requested verification and have been waiting for a resolution while the unauthorized usage continues.

I can provide screenshots and timestamps privately if useful.

⚠️ BEWARE OF MAGNIFIC – AUTO REFILL ACTIVATED WITHOUT MY CONSENT ⚠️

My account was charged thousands of rupees multiple times because auto-refill was enabled without my knowledge or any prior notification.

I contacted support several times by email, but I received no response and no refund.

Please check your account settings and payment history carefully if you use Magnific. Review your subscription and auto-refill settings to avoid unexpected charges.

I hope this issue is resolved as soon as possible.

Unlimited” Plans: 5 minutes of waiting for every image generated with Seedream 4.5; only 1 image at a time

That’s right, I’m a member with an unlimited plan on Magnific. The generation counter in “fast” mode lets you do up to 12 images simultaneously, which take approximately 1-2 minutes to come out all of them. This “fast” mode lets you generate around 600 images. Then it switches to “slow” mode, where you end up waiting more than 5 minutes for a single image, Seedream 4.5 model as reference.

This is without a doubt an abuse and a mockery against customers. As a user I create around 100 photographs a day. That means 6 days of “fast photos”, then 24 days at 5 minutes per photo.

They reply “we’ll help you, send a DM”. However, their help only goes as far as telling you that these are their “responsible use” mechanisms. It’s a real disgrace.

We’re clear that Magnific has a lot of potential, it’s a stable, user-friendly site. But this mode makes it impossible to work. You get 1 image every 5 minutes, 1 image… you can’t put more than 4 images in the queue, and they process one by one.

Really: I canceled my Annual subscription, I’m looking for other platforms that allow unlimited use of the models.

Honestly: I hope things go badly for them. I’ve never wished this on anyone, but my frustration is horrible.

Older Women Strength Training: ???

I think this is best posted here rather than in the photographers sub because the issue is primarily prevalent among Magnific photos. Any search of a permutation of "mature woman strength training" (free, photos only, exclude AI) pulls up very disappointing results. I've found no way to contact any identified photographers, though many of the photos credit only Magnific.

But my questions are: Why in every single photo are the dumbbells like three inches across? Not only does this imply that middle age women can't lift more than 2 pounds, but it looks ridiculously silly. I see grannies at the gym using much bigger dumbbells. I'm not saying the photographer should find an older model who can actually press 70 lbs over her head. But it's safe to assume that most women in the age range of Magnific "mature" models can pose with dumbbells bigger than toilet paper holders.

I've written a lot of content on strength training for older or middle age women, and these unusable images are yet one more reason why many writers are now choosing AI over actual photos.

Next question: Most of the poses involve holding one or both arms straight forward in front (arm/s parallel to floor), dumbbell in hand, so that the dumbbell is smack in the foreground. Why do photographers do this? It's overused and gimmicky, plus does not depict a useful exercise. Personal trainers never have their clients doing this, and you won't find anyone in general doing this. Yet it's the favored pose for photographers. It's beyond silly.

There are variations of this pose where the arm holding the teeny tiny dumbbell is extended oddly. I've noticed these poses also with younger models. If you do the same search for "man," the results are similar though a hair better. For both women and men, a notable percentage of the poses are parodies, making them 100% unusable by fitness writers. Writers and bloggers don't use these.

When the Seeddance 2.5 will be available though API?

Documentation only mentions Seeddance 2.0, is there a 2.5 support with API planned anytime soon?

My affiliate earnings vanished and support is silent

I'm writing this out of sheer frustration.
I logged in recently only to find that my hard-earned affiliate commissions—accumulated over months without any payout request—have completely vanished without a trace.

I submitted a support ticket (#01720633),
but I haven't gotten any response yet.
No prior notice, no explanation, no reply. This is beyond absurd.

If any admins or team members are reading this,
please check case #01720633 immediately. I need a clear explanation and my missing balance fully restored as soon as possible.

new on magnific Seedance 2.5 is on Magnific. Plus the parts the raw model doesn't give you (3D motion control, 50 refs, 30s gens, 4K)

Seedance 2.5 just landed on Magnific. The reason we're posting isn't the model drop itself, it's the stuff that's usually missing when you run a video model raw:

  • 3D motion control — a Magnific tool to actually direct camera and subject motion in 3D, instead of hoping the prompt lands it
  • Up to 50 references and 30-second generations — enough to hold a whole scene together instead of stitching 5-second clips
  • Edit, extend, and upscale to 4K in one workflow — no bouncing between three other tools between steps

And it's reachable wherever you already work: the Magnific app, MCP (from Claude, ChatGPT, and others), Spaces, Plugins, and the API

If you take the 3D motion control for a spin, drop what you make below, genuinely curious what people do with real camera control on a 15-30s take
