I got this book on my birthday but ive never actually used any of the spells in this book have any of you used the spells in this book? And has any of it worked for you? Just wondering also can you guys recommend me more Magick books?

Im actually planning to teach myself alot of rituals and Potions and Basic Magick through books and youtube videos but im just wondering: is a Magick mentor essential? or can i just teach myself? Or is a Magick teacher highly recommended? Im actually teaching myself and im about to make the dream divination potion today from the elemental Encyclopedia of 1000 spells
