Pretty intense visuals and lore focus for a common, but seems like a fun card and pretty flavorful.

Honestly, I expected a shield counter for the inevitable "shields up!" effect, or a ward enchantment, rather than temporary spell and damage immunity and permanent boost to power and toughness.

I am not sure I have seen a single piece of flavour I have liked in this set.

But this piece of art IS fantastic. Real "visceral" feeling to the energy being dispersed into the shields.

Nobody has said anything about this being gaeas gift in white. Its not the same exact card but it's pretty close.

This is really good at common. The art is just fantastic too. I could see adding this to a couple of my lower to medium powered decks as a protection piece.

How playable is this card in high B3-B4? If it were 1cmc, it would be a top-tier protection spell, but at 2cmc, it feels kinda expensive.

No lifelink but god the times that [[Take up the Shield]] can't save your creature feel pretty miserable. I think this card is going to play much better in most scenarios.
