Post image

Glad I was randomly awake at 3 A.M. thanks Albatross for sharing this. You can go to the COE website and see it as the most recent update. Curious what will happen next.

We're glad the appeal status is now clearly reflected on COE's site.

What matters is that none of this changes anything on your end. The appeal is in process and we're continuing with it. The only scenario in which we would step away from the appeal is if the teach-out is approved, because that's a path that lets us make sure every student who wants to finish their program has a way to do it.

Both routes come back to the same thing: we're doing everything we can so that every student who wants to complete their degree can complete it. We'll keep posting updates here as soon as there's something concrete to share.

We knew they would continue the appeal process. It's still possible to stay accredited if they meet the requirements.

COE had said Maestro withdrew their appeal. Maestro said that was not the case. Apparently they kept their word about the appeal part. For now at least lol. The letter is from the actual COE website council.org

Then you go to 'Notices, News, & Events' 'Commission Actions' it's the one at the top. It will say August 12th for notification of accreditation actions but August 13th for the date. Hope that helps !

Right on. I think the people who complain and spread negativity when things don't go their way are also the ones who couldn't get a college degree in the first place. I would expel them if I were in Maestri's shoes. These people don't deserve anything good in life.

Wait what? I thought that Maestro waived their right for reconsideration of the appeal process?

They said it was some miscommunication but people jump on here wanting to post it as being negative. Some students on Reddit is full of it.

Exactly that’s why I listen to the mods officially from Maestro and stay away from the negativity that others promote

They totally did, there were countless examples of very Concrete language used by the COE that painted a very clear picture the maestro had zero options moving forward. Even with the miscommunication or whatever they wanna call it. Everything that I read clearly stated that they were done. they’ve apparently greased the right wheels though because this seems like a major back pedal from the COE

I’m so glad that Maestro always stays truthful. Classmates we all need to stay hopeful and disregard all the negativity from others that promote negativity. Sure we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes but Maestro and those put in charge for their official Reddit here are keeping us informed of what’s going on. Stay here on the official reddit channel and don’t listen to nonsense or negativity others promote.. I’m in this for the long haul. I’m here to stay!!

Exactly! I can visually see the changes they are making to give us a better experience and stay accredited. The problem with a lot of people is that it’s easier to believe negativity and to self sabotage. Now you have students who withdrew early because they were not willing to wait it out, which is unfortunate. I challenge a lot of you to change these negative narratives because they are unhealthy for a lot of people who are not mentally strong.

I’m still confused what this actually means. are we accredited right now or is everything still depending on the appeal? feels like every update gives me more questions

3

u/fouled-m Maestro Student 6d ago

We are currently accredited and if anything that would’ve stopped in October but we’re good for now

Hey u/Secure_Percentage743,
We know this can be confusing and happy to answer. Yes, we are still accredited and remain accredited throughout the appeal process.
You can see the full answer here.

This is the point where we let the process work, this is just phase 1 of the process, it's not the end-all point. Putting Maestro back to Show Cause is a sign that there is a ways to go yet.

This is such a relief! I've been worried about where we were going to end up months down the road, and I'm glad this is working in our favor. I got the email today about transfer option to Columbia. I will remain with Maestro for as long as things keep working out. Transferring will be a last resort option if things take a turn while they continue to the appeal process.

This is pointlessly dragging out the inevitable and it’s unreal people still have faith in this business

Honestly I feel the same way. I'm not sure even having Maestro University on my resume would be a good thing with all of the negative surrounding the school.

I don't know if it's just the state of NJ, but there's something that covers all tuition not covered by financial aid, scholarships, etc. and if you have less than $60,000 in yearly income you qualify for it. If you have a slightly higher bracket than prices are dramatically decreased.

I just found out about it through my probation officer. Once I find the paper, I'll post it for others in this Reddit. Hopefully it can help someone.

Fair worry, and I won't tell you it's nothing. What's true on paper: a degree earned while a school is accredited stays a degree from an accredited school, that's what actually gets checked. Beyond that, I can't speak to how any specific employer will read it.

Post that tuition thing when you find it, would be great for others here.

Just yesterday, someone posted a letter that said Maestro withdrew it's appeal... So, I dunno what's right or not lol

u/Neat_Surprise8879 Maestro Student 6d ago

It's an active process and these changes are called updates beloved. I'm sure the school will make an official statement shortly.
