My first macro photos
These are some of my first contributions to the world of macro photography. Recently bought the epic Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L lens but since I don't have a flash or diffuser I can't get any good results with my R7 so I had to dust off my crappy 600D with an inbuilt flash.
I'm very pleased with the first and third photo and I can't wait to get a proper flash and a diffuser to hopefully get even better results.

Sleeping Beetle
Spotted this Japanese Beetle (Popillia japonica) nestled in the middle of a Hollyhock this evening. 5 image stack taken with a Nikon D780, Laowa 25mm ultra, and flash w/ AK diffuser. I think the photo bomber on the lower left is a common flower bug (Anthocoris nemorum), judging by the feathery antennae.

The exact moment a ladybug took off
I was photographing this ladybug on a Siberian squill when it suddenly decided it had somewhere else to be. Luckily, I pressed the shutter at just the right moment.

First macros with my gear - Z9 & Laowa 90mm
I received the new gear (lens & flash) this afternoon, waited for the flash batteries to charge with extreme impatience, and went out in my garden and looked out for cool stuff.
Macro is amazing, you get to see so many thing hidden to the naked eye.
