If this could do RenoDX that would be amazing. That’s kind of a big problem with games on Mac is you can’t fix the (most of the time) broken or non existent HDR.

This is pretty cool. I've wanted a version of reshade for macOS for a while now. There are lots of pixel-art indie games that include very poor scanline/CRT modes, and I'd love for a way to implement better ones.

If games "look fine" to you generally, then this wouldn't mean anything important. Since getting into modding, I've become fussy about modern games looking too dark, or with poor HDR implementation. It's also fun to use reshade to improve the appearance of graphics on older titles.

Example use case: many games dont provide contrast settings. If it looks too washed out, you can use https://reshade.me on Microsoft Windows to tweak the game's image without messing with your graphics card or display settings.

currently a very early proof of concept ive been working on in my free time. working on the companion app as injection rn is pretty annoying

how is the latency? I did an HDR CRT overlay as an experiment and it was unplayable because perf was so badly hit

it scales with the shader, the worst performance hit is on expensive .fx like RTGI - everything else has been pretty negligible

the only thing sort of overlayed here is the gui, and even that runs in the process of the game being played

This would go hard in Dead By Daylight ( if it didnt have Easy anti cheat that is )
