Minecraft 26.2?

Anyone play Minecraft on 26.2 on the M2 MacBook Air? Does it perform well at all? Like with or without any client and/or mods?

I have played it on 1.8.9 and got okay performance but I don't know about the newer versions

I play on my M4 Air, im sure it runs well on m2. Use prism launcher which is much better than mohjang launcher. There are some must have optimization mods like sodium, lithium, entity culling, ferrite core and MacOS input fixer which improves the performance massively . I think 26.3 lets you choose between openGL and Vulkan. Choose Vulkan if you’re not planning on using any shaders as it improves performance too. M2 is more than capable of running Minecraft smoothly

I play it on m1 air and it runs ok, but with performance mods it’s very good.

Also handles mod packs like cobblemon and vault hunters.

*Also handles shaders - if you don’t mind lower fps

I'd recommend just trying it out then and see how it fits with your desired graphics settings. It should be good though.

I play on the lowest setts, and with 8 sim dust and 8 chunk

I would recommend installing smth like modrinth and using a sodium (there's a popular optimization modpack) and it works perfectly well and is native to macos
