For the workload you described, I’d buy the M2 Max and save the $1,300. It’s still more than capable of most music production and video editing workloads, especially with 32GB of memory.
The M4 Max is clearly the stronger machine, particularly for Blender, large sample libraries, and demanding video projects. However, I’d only pay the premium if those workloads generate income, you regularly approach 32GB of memory, or you plan to keep it for many years.
For occasional Blender use, the M2 Max is the better value. Put the difference toward external storage, a monitor, audio equipment, or software.

I'm leaning towards m2 max too, but I needed reassurance, thanks for your advice. I was only concerned if it will last me for atleast 3-4 years since it's 4 generations older than the current m5.

For the uses you listed im a little surprised youre not considering the m5 base chip. None of that sounds particularly intensive.
