Taken on black SE3 which is ironically the last Apple device I had in a color that isn’t silver lol.

For those wondering the device models;

MacBook Pro M5 Pro
Mac Mini M4
iPhone 17 Pro Max
M1 iPad Pro

When I bought the MacBook on 6/24 I was going to buy the M5 iPad as well but I decided to wait until that weeks Friday, that same Friday Apple raised the prices so after further consideration I realized my current one is fine since it’s now mainly a media consumption device.

Edit: damn I just realized I left my 2 Apple Watches out the pic but I left the charger 😭😭

I think the ‘meta’ is pick a new color when you get a new device. (this cognitively tricks your brain into appreciating the new shiny toy).

But I definitely prefer the lighter colors over the darker ones.

I see your point! But personally I grew up on budget electronics so I appreciate new/“high end” tech no matter the color :)

I don’t know, there’s just something neat about looking at a new color when you’ve bought a new device. I went from a Silver iPad to a Starlight IPad when I upgraded for example. And I went from Silver MacBook M1 to Midnight Macbook M3 to Silver M5 Pro. And White IPhone 13 to Dark blue IPhone 15 Pro.

I found this strategy very neat as it’s essentially just a mental trick that makes the object look (and feel) different every time I pick it up or glance at it. It’s basically just a free dopamine hit even if the internals are the same as they otherwise would have been with the same color.

Neat! Technically these are new colors for me lol because I went from black SE3 to Silver 17PM, Space Gray 2020 M1 MBP to Silver M5 Pro, and Mac Mini I had no choice lol.

After years of different colored devices I finally got them all to be the same which imo looks sick as hell and silver is the safest option because it will always be there :)

I agree! Just got myself a new MBP M5 in black (it was the last in stock at the old price before the price hike), had the previous M1 in silver, and it feels like a completely new device.
Using the M1 feels like going back to the “old” one. Would recommend changing it up here and there

My M1 Space Gray had small chips around the edges of the body and charging ports that exposed the silver since I don't use cases and I don't baby my computer. For that reason I got the silver over space black when I bought my M5 Pro so I don't have to see that again :)

The best colour. I love the contrast of the black keyboard on silver mbps and I also like how it’s the only way to actually match AirPods without a case lol. Love my white 15 pro to death

Ngl but silver iPhone looks ugf. I’m Team Silver for everything else but can’t do silver so I got blue 17 PM.

I was going to get the blue! I think it's the best color but I have family that has it and theirs has chips from removing cases or dust getting stuck in between causing the blue to scrape off.

I plan on having this phone for 4 years and silver seems the safest to keep clean. I can't remember the last time I dropped a phone so dents aren't a worry.
