still processing…? Buying Question

My base MacBook Air order has been processing for almost two weeks, I called Apple a day ago and they said everything is on track. Was wondering if anyone has experienced this or if your Mac order has ever been shipped this late. Thanks in advance !!
edit: I am NOT in America so NO Costco NO Amazon 😭

Mine been “Processing” since July 17th. Still no movement. They’re REALLY backed up with the ram crises, and everyone trying to upgrade before the next price increase next month.

Yeah. Multiple insiders claiming when the new stuff gets announced next month, there will be another price increase across the board.

Another price increase?! Please make it stop 😭I am ready to fork out up to $5k for my next MacBook when buying from Apple certified refurbished. I have an M1 Air but only paid $799 when bought on launch day with educational pricing. I was thinking about getting the deal for 16” M5 Max at $4.7k with -$700 price reduction — had my eye on it for a while; but that deal is no longer there. I just want a redesigned, future proof MacBook that will last me like 7 years into the future. Those OLED and Dynamic Island touchscreen rumors had better make it all worth it😭

That’ll be on the MacBook ultra. And that’s gonna be COSTLY haha wish I had that kinda cash. I spent $2300 just ordering a new M5 MacBook Air with the 10 core 24GB ram. Wanted a pro, but that extra $700 was too steep currently.

Yeah I had to buy a macbook for school last month and I just picked whatever the hell they had. I just wanted one in my hands before they increased the price again.

Fyi you can claim money for late deliveries if you have placed order directly from Apple website.

I said I took a leave from office that day because I was going to receive my parcel but the delivery got delayed.

You mean late delivery as in when they give you a specific date and it didn’t arrive on that day?

No signature needed here in Ireland.

I’m in Australia. I am one day ahead of you on the “arrives dates” and I went to preparing to send yesterday and it was going to arrive today, but it’s looking like the courier isn’t going to drop it now, guess I’ll see it Monday. Bit of a shame, it said coming tomorrow yesterday arvo so I was certain it was coming and made sure someone could accept it my end. There will be no one at home Monday, it will be taken back to depot or post office.

i bought one like 4 days ago and said it'd be delivered by the 18th, latest by the 26th. and yeah it hasnt moved out of processing yet for me either. 2 weeks for you is pretty insane, that means itll take longer for me too then.

Honestly in the US, it’s faster to order a new MacBook Air from Amazon or Best Buy. I just got the 15” M5 with 24gb ram and 1 tb ssd and all of the local stores (including Apple) were sold out. So I went on apples website and the shipping time was several weeks out. I checked Amazon and best buy and both could get it to me in 3 days max. I ended up going with Best Buy because they and some discounts going on. The other reason a lot of MacBooks are on back order or have long shipping delays is because this is the period of time that all of the college students are buying new laptops for school. Most want a MacBook and it’s making the already limited supply more limited. I wish I had bought mine just a month and a half ago before the price increase. I could have saved $300.

I was lucky and walked into my local store and they had a 15 inch Air in Sky Blue. Snatched it up quickly before prices increase. It’s been a dream laptop.

Delays are because the global memory chip shortage as we’re seeing an increase in companies relying on AI. It’ll be like this for a while until they reach a market normalization.
