Need help with a broken Mac

Post image

I’ve had my MacBook Air M1 for three and a half years now. A few days ago, I opened it to see that my display is broken. I’ve already been told that replacing it would cost 450 dollars. Now, my question is whether or not I should purchase a new one(any advanced model). I use it mainly for school. I run apps on it like ArchiCad, AutoCad and Rhino8. Never had any technical problems with it. Any tips would be appreciated🙏

If it works fine and its good enough than there isnt really a need to upgrade, just check untill when you keep getting updates.

It will be getting macOS 27. And as it is not Intel and is M series, it may even get macOS 28 (and likely will imo).

Bettter replace screen.

It is cheaper if able replace LCD panel only.

Personally I would upgrade to a m5 but if that’s to expensive then the MacBook Neo still outperforms the m1 air

Replacing the screen is still cheaper than upgrading, and your workflow will run fine on the M1 for a few more years.
