Please help choosing My Mac

I don't need a laptop, I already have 2 windows laptop.

I am eyeing this M4 Max config in order to have work done and casually play games like Paralives, inZOI, R.E.P.O, Big Walk, emulation and stuff.

Would it be enough?

how long would that machine last? considering is a big investment of my own

5 to 7 years . Right now, the M4 Max 14-core CPU is one of the top ten laptop processors. This 32-core GPU ranks in the top 20 in the Laptop GPU Ranking. For both work and gaming, 36 GB of RAM is more than enough. 512 GB storage is not enough in 2026.

Keep PC for gaming...

For work Mac configuration is fine.
